“I am delighted that, with the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Deutschland, we are successfully holding a digital racing series for the third year in a row. The large starting fields and action-packed races have shown us that sim racing is extremely attractive. I'm curious to see who will win the two finals and who will be ahead in the end, ”says Bastian Schramm, Head of Marketing at Porsche Deutschland GmbH.

The Simracers collected championship points at seven stops in the season in order to secure a starting place for the finals. A total of over 1,100 esporters took part in the qualification sessions for the respective events. The top 32 of the championship form the field of participants on the Spanish Formula 1 circuit on Sunday. Two races over 30 minutes each are on the program - the drivers can get a maximum of 100 points.

The favorites for the title include Maximilian Benecke (Germany) and Diogo Pinto (Portugal). In the final, the two sim racers from the experienced esports team Porsche24 Driven by Redline want to build on their strong performances from the season so far: Both 27-year-old Benecke and 19-year-old Pinto celebrated seven victories each and are thus confidently entering the final . Both of them had already shown their talent in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup.

In addition to the two finals, the spectators can also look forward to two show races with a prominent cast. These include the YouTuber "Dave Gaming", the well-known online streamer Matt Malone and Mathieu Wacker, who starts for the YouTube channel "DiePixelHelden".

The season finale of the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Germany starts on Sunday at 4:15 p.m. (CEST) and will be broadcast on the official Porsche Twitch account and the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany YouTube channel . In addition to his work in the show races, racing driver Nico Menzel is also a co-commentator.
