Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard targets records at Interlagos

Brand new Carrera Cup cars should accelerate again equipped with ABS brakes, to stage in front of the São Paulo public for the first time. After passing through Goiânia and Velocitta with the record of eight different winners in eight races held by the Carrera Cup and the Sprint Challenge, the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard arrives at Interlagos for the first time for an official stage in 2022. home race with the expectation of more records, on and off the track.

The main race track in Brazil, Interlagos is the stage that most often received the category of the most produced competition cars on the planet. The most recent pass of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard through the Autodromo José Carlos Pace took place in the pre-season this year, when the brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars of the “992” generation accelerated together for the first time.

And it is precisely on the new cars of the Carrera Cup that the main expectation for the stage rests. In Goiânia, Marçal Müller broke the historic record of the category by classifying his new car in pole position. On the Velocitta, the cars competed without the ABS braking system.

Now the mechanism returns, bringing with it the promise of more precise and aggressive braking, inside the curves, with lap times plummeting thanks to the advances of the new model.

Off the track, the panorama follows the very high performance presented by the riders on the asphalt.

In 2022 the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard enjoys the widest range of sponsors in its 17-year history. At each stage, the activation and relationship platform grows, as demonstrated by the increasingly crowded cabin areas. At this stage, the big news is the expansion of the bond with Mobil, now holder of the pole-position naming rights for the Carrera Cup.

Expectations for the stands are also very high. With tickets on sale for R$ 50 through the official website of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard, the ticket also entitles you to a special musical attraction scheduled for the end of the day.

The Carrera Cup grid has 24 confirmed competitors, while the Sprint Challenge will have at least 21 cars accelerating in the two races of the stage. The official schedule determines free practice on Friday, qualifying practice and race 1 on Saturday, and reverse grid races on Sunday. Races are shown live on Band and Sportv channels, as well as the official Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard channels.
