Two title wins for SEEBACH Motorsport

The season finale of the Porsche Sports Cup Germany took place in Hockenheim. At SEEBACH Motorsport's home race, Marco Seebach's racing team brought in two Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports and a vehicle without an RS package.

Saturday at the Porsche Sprint GT went perfectly for SEEBACH Motorsport. Jochen Kilb took pole position for both Sprint GT races. Kilb also won the first race by a narrow margin ahead of his teammate Sebastian Roth. A perfect result for the racing team from Rosbach vor der Höhe. Steve Caroli also took third place in the class for vehicles without an RS package and was able to score important points.

Caroli repeated his third position on Sunday. Things were more difficult for the Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the second sprint run. Sebastian Roth only finished fourth in the class after being shot down by an opponent. The previous day's winner Kilb had to struggle with deteriorating tires after a duel and therefore only finished in third position.

After completing 13 races, Sebastian Roth finally won the title in the 1c class of the Porsche Sprint GT in Hockenheim. Steve Caroli became runner-up in the 1b category. “We couldn't have finished the season much better in the Porsche Sprint GT,” said team owner Marco Seebach after the race weekend on the traditional circuit in the north of Baden-Württemberg. “We were very happy about the double victory on Saturday. It’s a nice sight to see our cars in the first two places.”

The Endurance Challenge race on Sunday afternoon was not chaotic for the Hessian racing team. Steve Caroli and Dominik Schraml's vehicle was eliminated after much-discussed contact on the introductory lap before the start of the race. The Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Philipp Schauerte and new signing Marc Halusa – who will contest the entire season for SEEBACH Motorsport in 2024 – also retired early. After a competitor hit Halusa, he had to park the vehicle with a damaged radiator. Schauerte ended the season in third position in class 1c. Caroli and Schraml also finished the Endurance Challenge racing year in third position.

Marco Seebach and Jochen Kilb finished the race in second place in class 1c and thus secured the championship in the class. But the duo's race wasn't easy either. Due to a safety car, the two drivers lost their commanding race lead in the class.

“In the end, it was irrelevant for us that we finished the race in second position. We had a big lead in the championship, so we won the championship,” said the team owner. “A big thank you to my entire team for the great work over the entire season – without you this would not have been possible. We are now preparing as best we can for the 2024 season, about which we will publish further details at a later date.”
