Müller wins in Carrera Cup and Menossi in GT3 Cup at Velocitta

The opening of the 2021 season of the Porsche XP Private Cup provided impressive images on the Velocitta. From the opening ceremony with the adhesion to the Porsche Impact initiative, to the technological podium with a big screen, passing memorable overtaking and even taking off cars, the largest mono-brand and mono-management category in the Americas began in very high style. The victories were with Marçal Müller, in the Carrera Cup, and Eduardo Menossi, in GT3, both crowning memorable trajectories.

In the morning the driver of car # 544 shone at the start, jumping from fifth to first. Then he controlled the pace and won again with the 4.0-liter Porsche after a year and a half away from the top of the podium.

Then Eduardo Menossi controlled the race from start to finish to win for the first time with the Porsche 3.8. It was an epic end of stage for the driver of car # 85. In addition to writing his name as the 97th different winner in the history of the Porsche XP Private Cup, the “flying Italian” ended a journey at the top of the podium in which he accepted the challenge of competing in both categories, competing four races between Saturday and Sunday.

Enzo Elias leaves Velocitta at the head of the Carrera Cup, favored by a couple of second places. In the Sport division, the leader is Cristiano Piquet, who scored the stage. In the Trophy Sylvio de Barros appears at the top of the points, thanks to the victory of Saturday and second place Sunday.

As for the GT3 Cup class, the highest scorers of the weekend were debutant Raijan Mascarello and runner-up Nelson Monteiro. The leader of the Sport division is Vina Neves, catapulted by victory in the category on Saturday and fourth place Sunday. For the Trophy division Gustavo Farah, winner of both events, is the first of the championship.

The Velocitta stage marked Caio Castro's debut with the most produced competition cars on the planet. On Saturday the driver had a busy race and finished 12th. On Sunday, he was forced to leave after an accident on the fourth lap.

The Porsche XP Private Cup will resume its track activities within four weeks at the Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba.
