After analysis by the sports commissioners, there was a change in the final classification of the GT3 Cup class on the opening day of the Porsche XP Private Cup at Velocitta. Carrera Cup also has its result changed, with an impact on the podium of the Trophy division
After analysis by the sports commissioners, there was a change in the final classification of the GT3 Cup class on the opening day of the Porsche XP Private Cup at Velocitta.
The driver of car # 8, Lineu Pires, had 20s added to his race time. So he dropped from fourth place in the flag to ninth after analyzing the images. Consequently, he lost the victory in the Sport division in favor of Vina Neves, the new fourth. With the change in the result, Ricardo Fontanari inherited the fifth and last position on the podium.
Another effect of the race reclassification was the shift from pole-position to the closing stage of the stage, this Sunday.
Lucas Salles, winner of the race, drew number 8, determining the respective inversion of positions on the grid. So, pole is now with Eduardo Menossi and car # 85.
In the race for the Carrera Cup, car # 77, by Francisco Horta, received a 20s penalty after analysis by the authorities of the CBA (Confederação Brasileira de Automobilismo). He thus fell from 17th to 21st overall, staying out of the podium in the Trophy division, whose podium was officially composed by Sylvio de Barros, Georgios Frangulis, Nelson Marcondes, Eduardo Menossi and Urubatan Junior.
The opening day of the Porsche Cup has a live exhibition of the Band starting at 11:45 am, motorsport.com portals, F1 Mania and the Porsche Cup's official YouTube channel. It will also be broadcast by Sportv 3 at 7pm on Sunday.
Whole decisions:
Decision 1
The Sports Commissioners in the use of their duties, and after analyzing the official images and on-board camera of cars # 77 and # 16, in addition to conducting the pilot # 77 hearing, DECIDE:
Name: Francisco Horta - # 77
Activity: Race 1
Fact: Driver # 77 - Francisco Horta at turn 10 touches the back of car # 16, causing him to spin and lose several positions.
Decision: Penalize the pilot Francisco Horta # 77, with the addition of 20 seconds to his final race time.
Decision 2
The Sports Commissioners in the use of their duties, after analyzing the official images, hearing from the drivers # 8 and # 11, and on-board camera of the cars # 8 and # 11, DECIDE:
Name: LINEU PIRES - # 8
Activity: Race 1
Fact: The driver identified above (# 8 - LINEU PIRES), when starting turn 5, leaves no room for car # 11 that was already beside him in overtaking maneuver, colliding with it and making it spin . Car # 11 returns to the track, but loses several positions.
Decision: According to the reasoning below, WE DECIDED to penalize the pilot LINEU PIRES # 8 with an increase of 20 seconds to his final race time.
Race One:
As in the Carrera Cup, the start was made under a safety-car regime and the drivers started in single file at the opening of lap three. Pole Lucas Salles lost two positions at the start to Raijan Mascarello and Cristian Mohr. Right behind, Marcio Mauro surprised Ricardo Fontanari and won the sixth position. On the fifth lap the first four were Mascarello, Mohr, Salles and Nelson Monteiro. They were very close, when punishment was announced for car # 3 for starting a burn. Fifth, Lineu Pires was the best placed in the Sport class, while Gustavo Farah, in twentieth, was the first in the Trophy. In the seventh pass Ayman Darwich dived inside Eduardo Menossi in turn 1 to take the tenth position.
After fulfilling drive-thru, Mohr came climbing the determined platoon. On the eighth lap he overtook Edu Guedes and Caio Castro. Then he overcame Bruno Campos to take the 13th position. In a duel for the leadership in the Sport class, Lineu Pires and Marcio Mauro had a fight for fifth place. Worse for the Equivoco Racing driver, who rode and lost some positions. Lucas Salles gave back to Raijan Mascarello, returning to first place on lap 9.
In the tenth, Vina Neves passed Ricardo Fontanari and entered the top 5. Cristian Mohr's climb continued in style. On lap 12, car # 3 was already in tenth, using every centimeter of track to leave competitors behind. On the next lap, Ayman passed the brakes of turn 1, balancing the car with the ability to conquer eighth place. However, one lap behind the flag, Mohr was forced to park his car in the pit lane. Leo Sanchez also retired from the race on the same lap. Salles won with Mascarello in second and Monteiro in third. Lineu Pires (winning at Sport) and Vina Neves completed the podium. Gustavo Farah, in 17th overall, won in the Trophy division.
With a consistent play during a good part of the race, beautiful disputes and even with the right to pass through the lawn and contact with a signaling cone, Caio Castro received the flag in 12th overall and eighth in the Sport class.
Miguel Paludo “What a good feeling to start the season winning. It was a giant team effort to open this season at the same pace as last year. The car had an exchange problem in which I qualified, I needed the reserve for the second part and got the pole. Getting back to my car on the run. It makes a difference, being able to count on everyone on the team, everyone did their best to be here. Happy to finish the race as we were last year, at the highest place on the podium. ”
Lucas Salles “I started very badly, they passed me, so I tried to recover the consistent pace. And it worked. We were arriving, arriving, I managed to overtake and then I just kept the edge ”
Enzo Elias “It was a difficult race, one of the most difficult I had in the category. The transition from wet to dry with the Michelin rain tire makes the scenery difficult. I was faster in the beginning in the dispute with Iorio, and Paludo opened. In the middle of the race I had to manage the tires. Then I was able to give everything to try to get Paludo and it was coming, but he found a strong rhythm too and Iorio came back still very strong. It was not possible to reach Paludo, but I am too happy to give this result to Farben and we will seek victory tomorrow ”
