Robin Maes makes his comeback from the TAC Rally with a Porsche 991 GT3
In two weeks, the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship will start with the Rally of Haspengouw . Fans shouldn't miss out on the spectacle, because this year too, the BRC Promotor will broadcast live action images, interviews, analysis and results via Facebook Live programs . Technically an innovative hussar piece, made possible thanks to the championship partners, such as MR Solar, that extended its partnership this season .
MR Solar's employer is Robin Maes, who is very satisfied with the return that the Kroon-Oil BRC is offering via social media .
"I think it's very clear what the BRC Promotor is realizing to make our sport popular among the general public . There were all the classic TV broadcasts, but in recent years there was also huge investment in promotion via Facebook Live on social media . As an innovative company, we want to work on that," says Robin Maes .
After almost three years of absence, we will see Robin Maes again in action this season as a participant . The Kortrijk businessman will defend the colors of MR Solar in a Porsche 991 GT3.
"In fact, it's almost three years since I've been driving . First I took a Sabbath year to further develop the company, including the construction of a new head seat in Kortrijk . After that, the health crisis struck . I had planned to make my debut with a Porsche in Tielt 2020, but that game got cancelled . After a few more scrapes, I've waited until it was driven again . At the end of last year everything was prepared to start in Kortrijk, but then I had to give a package due to corona . This year it must be a success . I want to drive a few BRC mansions in the Porsche 991 GT3 starting with the TAC Rally . The Circuit van Vlaanderen is also on the program and I sometimes want to drive a Porsche . We will continue to fill in the rest of the program over the season," says Robin Maes, who will be engraved in the Porsche by Chris Debyser . "I tested last winter with several Porsche 991 and 992 in the snow in Scandinavia . I'm so excited for the first game because riding a back wheeler is the best . It reminds me of my year of championship in Historical with the well-known Camel BMW M3 E30. "
From the TAC Rally, MR Solar will not only be a partner of the Kroon-Oil BRC, but will also be active in the competitions itself . And not with the livery on the attached photo, but with a different decoration .
"In the attached illustration you can see the design of the decoration based on the colors of our Camel BMW . But, we are in the process of designing a new delivery based on the historical decoration of Jägermeister on the official Porsche . We will present that design in Tielt," decides Robin Maes .
"Thanks to MR Solar's support, we can further expand the BRC Facebook Live programs . Last year we invested in these broadcasts, which were technically innovative with live action images from the classification tests . This year we will continue to expand these programs, because the interest increased per game last year .
