Duckhams Yuasa Racing returns for dual Porsche campaign with Coates and Tofts

Duckhams Yuasa Racing is proud to announce its exciting plans for the 2025 motorsport season, as the team continues its mission to support and develop exceptional racing talent.

This year, the team will support two talented racers – Max Coates and Jacob Tofts – who will compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and Sprint Challenge GB, respectively, in the iconic Duckhams colours.

Max is a seasoned and fiercely competitive driver who made his first appearance in the Carrera Cup GB 11 years ago. A race winner in the Ginetta GT Supercup, Renault Clio Cup, Britcar Endurance Series, and Mini Challenge, he finished as runner-up in the Sprint Challenge GB last year.

Jacob is a relative newcomer to motorsport but clinched the RS Clubsport Am title in the Sprint Challenge last year, recording seven wins and a further seven podiums. He is also a Porsche Club Great Britain Sim Racing champion and has competed in Formula Ford 1600.

Duckhams Yuasa Racing has built a strong reputation over the past five years, supporting Dan Cammish to his third Porsche Carrera Cup GB crown before backing Adam Smalley, who became the 2023 series champion and secured the Silver-Am British GT Championship title last year.

With the continued backing of Duckhams Oil and Yuasa, two brands synonymous with performance and reliability, the team is prepared to take on the challenges of the 2025 campaign. They will be joined by Jurid, Moog, Luften Filters, and Herth + Buss as key partners for the season.

Fans can follow the progress of Duckhams Yuasa Racing across both championships via www.duckhams-yuasa-racing.com.

Chris Hodgen, Team Principal, Duckhams Yuasa Racing

“We are immensely proud of what Duckhams Yuasa Racing has achieved over the last five years. From our first championship win with Dan Cammish to Adam Smalley’s incredible journey through the ranks, we have consistently demonstrated that with the right support, talented drivers can thrive. As we enter the 2025 season, we are excited to have Max and Jacob representing us. Both drivers embody the determination and drive that we stand for, and we are confident they will both make a strong impact in their respective championships.

“I’ve been keeping an eye on Jacob for a while, and with just two seasons of racing behind him and several Siim racing wins, he’s already shown exceptional speed. I got to know Max last year and was impressed with what he achieved, especially given the budget constraints he faced compared to others. I felt he deserved a chance with the right backing. They have big shoes to fill after Dan [Cammish] and Adam [Smalley], but with the right support, I have no doubt they will deliver.”

Max Coates

“Entering the 2025 season with the backing and support of Duckhams and Yuasa provides me with the opportunity to graduate to Porsche’s flagship Carrera Cup GB series and know that I will be able to mount a serious challenge at the front of the grid. It gives me great pride to know that I’m entrusted to follow in the footsteps of Dan [Cammish] and Adam [Smalley] and my target is very much on emulating their championship success.”

Jacob Tofts

“I’m honoured to have the support of Duckhams for 2025, having previously worked with them in 2023 when I spearheaded their return to British Formula Ford, in what was my debut season of car racing.  Having won the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB RS Am title in 2024 I’m very excited to now be stepping up to the Pro class for an assault on the overall title in 2025”.
