Porsche makes Super GT return in Okayama with Seven x Seven Racing
Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific customer team Seven x Seven Racing makes its highly anticipated debut in Super GT this weekend at Okayama International Circuit in the GT300 category.
This event will also mark Porsche’s first appearance in Japan’s most competitive GT championship since 2021. The marque’s highlight in Super GT was securing the GT300 class win in 2012 with Kyosuke Mineo and Naoki Yokomizo.
The Japanese outfit have maned a strong driver line up with two-time Super Gt champion Kiyoto Fujinami joining multiple Porsche Carrera Cup Japan winner and GT World Challenge Asia driver Tsubasa Kondo.
The duo has already started 2025 on a high, winning on the squad’s maiden Supper Taikyu outing, alongside Bankcy at Okayama, taking a stunning lights-to-flag victory during the four-hour enduro.
As well as the Super GT and Super Taikyu, including Fuji 24 Hours, Seven x Seven Racing is also competing in Japan Cup, Porsche Carrera Cup Japan and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East extending their partnership with Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific.
The 2025 Super GT calendar sees the championship race at the best tracks in Japan and, for the first time since 2019, will head outside of the country to visit the popular Sebpang International Circuit in June.

The series is sanctioned by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) and run by the GT Association (GTA). Autobacs has been the title sponsor of the series and its predecessor since 1998.

The races also include pit stops, and the speed with which the mechanics of each team can change tires directly affects the outcome.
