Frikadelli Racing starts with the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) on the Nordschleife

In addition to the already announced commitment in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, the team of Frikadelli Racing will again compete the race for the Nürburgring Long-range Series (NLS) in the 2022 season. For use comes the round 510 hp strong new GT3 Cup Porsche 992. At the wheel of the wagon, Klaus Abbelen and "Jules" change as regular pilots, Felipe Laser strengthens the duo at the start of the season.

"In the framework of the test and adjustment drives, we successfully completed the first kilometers on the Nürburgring Nordschleife last weekend. The test install was very good, everything worked without problems, and we found a first setup too. Now we are looking forward to the season start next Saturday. Since many teams are sitting on the new Porsche, we certainly have exciting races ahead”, Abbelen looks ahead.

"Jules", who has been for Frikadelli Racing since 2019, is completing his next career step in motorsport with this commitment. So far, the Brite has been very successful in the Cup3 class with a Porsche Cayman GT4 Here, the Frikadelli team together with Hendrik von Danwitz secured the championship title in the "Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey Racing (Typ 981)" in his first year. Also with the successor model, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport (Type 982), he was able to convince again and again drove numerous podium places in the class. As he goes up to the bigger class, the next big challenge awaits him.

“The new brand cup within the NLS promises a lot of tension in the face of the distinctive, strong field of participants.” For me it will already be my fourth year together with Frikadelli Racing. I feel incredibly comfortable in the team and I am convinced that the team always prepares my vehicle to the top," says "Jules".

The start shot for the first run of the NLS is on Saturday, 26.03.2022 at 12:00. The race will run over a distance of four hours and will be broadcasted on the livestream.
