Hampus Ericsson was this year's newcomer in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2020. With the help of Mtech Competitions, the 18-year-old impressed in the qualifiers and with an aggressive attitude he often competed for the top starting positions in the race.
In the championship table, Hampus finished in fifth place. Before the final competition at Ring Knutstorp, there was still a chance for him to pinch a third place in the table.

“I knew that my debut season in the championship would be tough. Getting used to a new type of car, new tracks and razor-sharp competition on the driver's side was no game. I had huge support and help from my team Mtech, who with their great experience did everything in their power to help me. I would also like to express a big thank you to my driver friends Thomas Karlsson and Magnus Öhman who were very generous in helping and pushing me throughout the season. Overall, I learned a lot. Above all, that I have to be smoother and to make fewer mistakes if I am to be able to be at the top”, says Hampus.

Johan Skyllkvist, Team Manager at Fragus Motorsport, looks forward to working with Hampus Ericsson in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia.
”We think it will be fantastic fun to have Hampus in our team in 2021. He is still young, has a high ambition to fight at the top of the championship, and in the long run to reach a professional status as a race driver. We will try to help him realize his dreams”.

The enthusiasm is mutual. Hampus looks forward to a successful collaboration with Fragus Motorsport.
”It feels like Fragus Motorsport is a professional gang that forms a strong team. This was seen not least last year when Robin Hansson and Pontus Fredricsson were very fast and were at the top. I have already started to get to know my future engineer Andreas, and it feels like we will click”.

Fragus Motorsport is based in Karlskoga and works closely with Gelleråsen Arena.
