Jan Magnussen and Porsche Denmark invest in Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia

With support from Porsche Denmark, former Formula One driver and four-time Le Mans winner Jan Magnussen will run three races in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2022.

After participating as a guest driver in both 2020 and 2021, Jan Magnussen expands his involvement in the championship and runs three selected competitions next season. The distinguished Dane will represent Mtech Competition in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) with starting number 23.
"I'm really looking forward to being in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia for the third season in a row. It is a strong championship, which with its high, sporting level and a devoted fan base has impressed me from the start. Teams and drivers are of international class and the competition

is fierce, says Magnussen and continues: "At the same time, I am delighted to be behind the wheel of the all-new 992 generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. I am familiar with Mtech Competition from previous competitions. It's a great team that I'm looking forward to meeting again. I have not yet had the opportunity to try the car, but have already started with the simulator training.

"We are excited that a legendary top name like Jan Magnusson will represent Denmark in the largest brand series in the Nordic region in 2022, and we hope it will increase Danish interest in the Scandinavian Porsche Carrera Cup. The effort is fully in line with our DNA and ambition to be present in motorsport, where we have already been involved in esports through the official Danish Championship in Digital Motorsport, Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Denmark.
