Latorre wins race two, Klein is crowned champion for 2021 in Carrera Cup France

By finishing in a tray like Dorian Boccolacci, Marvin Klein (CLRT) is the 2021 champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. Florian Latorre (CLRT) wins the 2021 final and a first success this season.

The 2021 title of the Porsche Carrera Cup France was played in the vat of the second corner in Portimao. They were still two to be able to claim to win the crown with Marvin Klein (CLRT), winner yesterday, and Dorian Boccolacci (Martinet by Almeras). In this little game, Marvin Klein is the 31st champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. Boccolacci must be satisfied with the Rookie title.

The two Porsche 911 GT3 Cups finished in the bin in the first lap, as did that of Ugo Gazil (Pierre Martinet by Alméras). Wanting to dive inside, Boccolacci touched Klein who himself touched Gazil. The three Porsches remained in the bin. Marvin Klein therefore secured his title by finishing well in spite of himself in a baccalaureate.

The time to get the cars out of the gravel, the competitors drove under a neutralization regime. Once the green flag was given, Florian Latorre (CLRT) managed to keep the benefit of his pole ahead of Alessandro Ghiretti (Martinet by Alméras) and Evan Spenle (MRT by CLRT). The latter received a 5s penalty for causing a collision with Gianmarco Quaresmini (Ombra Racing).

Under the checkered flag, Florian Latorre beat Alessandro Ghiretti by almost 7s. Latorre, author of 7 podiums this season, had to wait until the final to get his first success of the year.

Cooper Murray (Pierre Martinet by Alméras), invisible in the championship, took advantage of Spenle's 5s to finish on the last step of the podium, Evan Spenle having to settle for 4th place. Gianmarco Quaresmini fought for a long time against Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer for 5th place which the Italian was able to keep.

Christophe Lapierre (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) crossed the finish line as the winner before being penalized for contact with Nicolas Misslin (BWT Lechner Racing). The latter, who was ahead of Jérôme Boullery by half a hood at the finish (YDEO by Racing Technology), therefore won the 2021 final and at the same time a fourth consecutive title in Pro-Am.

In Am, Sébastien Dussolliet (ABM) claimed another victory ahead of Maxence Maurice (IMSA Performance) and Tugdual Rabreau (CLRT).

Marvin Klein took an option on the Porsche Carrera Cup France title by winning race 1 in Portimao on Saturday . The CLRT pilot was ahead of his teammate Florian Latorre by 0.5s. Dorian Boccolacci (Martinet by Alméras) keeps his chances with a 3rd place.

Cooper Murray (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) and Evan Spenle (MRT by CLRT). Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (BWT Lechner Racing) took 6th place.

Christophe Lapierre (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) won in Pro-Am, beating Raymond Narac (IMSA Performance) and Nicolas Misslin (BWT Lechner Racing).

On the Am class side, Sébastien Dussolliet (ABM) took the upper hand over Tugdual Rabreau (CLRT) and Maxence Maurice (IMSA Performance).

All titles remain open heading into Sundays race . Marvin Klein is now ahead of Dorian Boccolacci.
