Precote Herberth seconed at Red Bull ring

Eighth winners in the nine racers: Henric Skoog and Nick Yelloly of Schubert Motorsport won Saturday's ADAC GT Masters race at the Red Bull Ring in the BMW M6 GT3 with a sovereign performance. Their triumph in the 199th race of the “League of Super Sports Cars” was the first for BMW this season. Second on the Austrian Formula 1 circuit were Porsche drivers Robert Renauer and Sven Müller of Precote Herberth Motorsport, while Erik Johansson and Jens Klingmann, MRS GT-Racing) in another BMW took third.

Robert Renauer and Porsche works driver Sven Müller took their fourth podium of the season crossing the line in second place and improved their overall championship points to third overall. About five seconds behind was Erik Johansson and last year's winner Jens Klingmann came home in third place in another BMW. After a close fight, the duo prevailed with 0.3 seconds ahead of Franck Perera and Albert Costa Balboa in the GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini , who just missed the podium crossing the line in fourth.

Christian Engelhart and Michael Ammermüller in the SSR Performance Porsche 911 GT3 R achieved further important championship points in the title fight who started from tenth on the grid to finish in sixth place.

The defending Audi drivers champions Patric Niederhauser and kelvin van der Linde continue to lead the championship after they fought there way from the back of the grid to finish in eighth place. With a total of 121 points Niederhauser and Van der Linde now have a slender lead over the pursuers Engelhart and Ammermüller of only seven points. 

Audi driver Elia Erhart, EFP Car Collection by Tece) won the Pirelli Trophy classification for non-professional drivers.
