Sundahl adds sixth title to stellar Carrera Cup career resume

Lukas Sundahl took his sixth (!) driver's title when the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia put an end to the 2024 season with the Grande Finale powered by Porsche at Mantorp Park on September 21. Adds even more ground to the competitors and makes him stand further at the top in Carrera Cup Scandinavia's history books.

Sundahl finished on top of the standings and crowned himself Swedish GT champion ahead of Marcus Annervi and Daniel Roos, who shared the race wins in the final. With Sundahl second in both races. Fourth in the championship was Robin Knutsson, who had to withdraw from the final due to injury at the Red Bull Ring with the Carrera Cup Benelux.

Sundahl and his Micke Kågered Racing team swept the championship, securing the driver, team and Pro Am titles with Sundahl's teammate Kjelle Lejonkrans clinching his first PCCS title. Third in Pro Am was the team's third driver Albin Wärnelöv.

The successes gave Micke Kågered Racing a total of SEK 750,000 out of the total prize pool of SEK 1.1 million.

Lukas Sundahl and Oscar Löfqvist was awarded TAG Heuer Fastest Lap Award where Sundahl was awarded a TAG Heuer Carrera time piece while Löfqvist could put a TAG Heuer Formula 1on his wrist.

The weekend's guest driver was former DTM champion and world champion in rallycross, Mattias Ekström. In his comeback in Swedish racing, he reached third place in the second heat as his best result.

A third place, however in Pro Am, was it also for Prince Carl Philip, who made his second race weekend in the Porsche Carrera Cup of the season. From the stands, Prince Carl Philip was supported by his wife, Princess Sofia, and by his father, King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Even though racing was the main attraction, many other activities took place during the warm sunny day at Mantorp Park. Sportscar Together Day attracted 800+ Porsches and almost 2000 Porsche-enthusiast, Porsche Expo welcomed (for the first time) the new all electric Macan on the very day of the Swedish premiere and the new 911 Carrera.

Since the final race weekend coincided with the national launch of the new Macan, 2 Macan were placed on a big podium in Provence. The podium was staffed by personnel collecting leads for our Porsche Centers to follow up.

Celebrating the anniversary of the Turbo-concept, Porsche Sweden in collaboration with Porsche Club Sweden arranged a Turbo-parade showcasing Porsche Turbos from all generations. When the parade wasn’t on the track, one car of each generation was placed in front of a big backdrop with Turbo 50Y imagery.

A new activity was the Taycan Challenge. 3 drivers competed for fastest lap around the track with a Taycan Turbo GT Weissach Package. The winner collected a check of SEK 50.000 which was donated to the Royal Foundation and its work against cyber bullying. The winner? Prince Carl Philip.

+80 Porsches participated in a customer track day on the day of the test and close to 350 customers enjoyed an autumn themed lunch in Porsche Race Lounge during the race day.
