"We're really looking forward to this series. Our drivers have practiced with some long hours in the simulator in preparation for the season. The first official practice session, which was a three-hour feature race, gave us a great opportunity to test the set up on the 911 RSR. Carl and Ryan both competed and finished the race with a fantastic victory in the GTE class, a superb drive."

So far this year, PorscheSport eSports have competed in various championships. Ryan Parkins who is the reigning Porsche Club GB Sim Racing Champion continues to defend his title, with Gavin Halls and Carl Sharkey both featuring in the series. The PorscheSport Carrera Cup which had its last race a few weeks ago, also gave great experience for the team to compete at the highest level.

PorscheSport looks to expand its presence in the world of online motorsport and this year expanded its motorsport activities and reporting to include sim racing. The Virtual Endurance Championship now gives the drivers a great opportunity to test their skills. Carl Sharkey, Driver & Esports Manager at PorscheSport: “The passion for racing now builds the bridge between the real and virtual worlds and we have some really experienced drivers in our roster. Their knowledge for the car and how to set it up, is second to none. We've spent a lot of time testing in the simulator, learning the circuits for this series and ensuring we can maximise the RSR. This series opens up new possibilities for everyone involved. Just like in real-life racing, the virtual endurance requires not only a decent pace & perfect setup but also a bit of luck with a multi-class event."
