In the GT3 Cup, reigning champion Alexander Fach was delighted with another victory in the sprint race, but had to accept a retirement in the endurance race over 100 miles or a good 160 kilometers. His title rival Dominik Fischli took advantage and drove his 911 GT3 Cup to first place in class in the endurance competition. The 26-year-old thus put the championship battle back on track before the start of the second half of the season.
