Dorian Boccolacci in his debut race takes win for Martinet by Almeras

Dorian Boccolacci driving for Martinet by Almeras in his debut Porsche Carrera Cup France race lead from pole and took victory in the first race of the season. Junior Alessandro Ghiretti also driving for Martinet by Alméras finished in second place just ahead of Marvin Klein driving for CLRT. In the Pro-Am class, Jerome Boullery of YDEO by Racing Technology crossed the finish line in first with Maxence Maurice racing for Imsa Performance taking the AM class win. The race was unfortunately cut short close the end after the number 74 car rolled and ended up on its roof after been tapped from behind resulting in the race finishing under the safety car.

After the pre-season tests held on the same Magny-Cours circuit less than a month ago , the competitors of the Porsche Carrera Cup France finally meet in Nièvre for the first meeting of the 2021 campaign, The Porsche Carrera Cup France will form part of the FFSA French Circuits Championship, for the first two races of a 2021 season. which will see the competitive debut of the new 911 GT3 Cup type 992. Many questions where answered during the test days and all twenty-nine entries where eager to do battle for the first time on the F1 circuit of Magny-Cours that is always a perfect indicator of the what the season will bring. Heading into the first race teams like Martinet by Alméras, Lechner Racing and CLRT where the among the favourites to take the win.

In qualifying it was Dorian Boccolacci who took not one but both PCCF poles ahead of Dylan Pereira and Florian Latorre and in his debut race took the win for Martinet by Almeras after dominating the race from start to finish. Baccolacci made good is advantage from pole and soon put a comfortable gap between himself and the battle for third and second a battle that would last right to the end involving several competitors.

The race was was aired live on the official Porsche Carrera Cup France Facebook page did not disappoint with viewers subjected to some very entertaining battles throughout the race especially the fight for seconded and third place, unfortunately the race was interrupted before its end following contact between Victor Weyrich (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) and Victor Blugeon (ABM) resulting in Blugeon's Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car rolling and finishing on its roof. This brought out the safety car and it was during this safety car period that the checkered flag was shown with Alessandro Ghiretti taking second place just ahead of Marvin Klein who took the last step on the podium.

Dylan Pereira of BWT Lechner Racing crossed the line in fourth Florian Latorre of CLRT taking fifth to complete the top five, one of the favourites heading into the open round was Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer of BWT Lechner Racing who finished in sixth place ahead of Fulgenzi of EF Racing and Spenle of MRT by CLRT.

Jérôme Boullery of YDEO by Racing Technology took the Pro-am win in what was a fairly easily win for him ahead of Nicolas Misslin of BWT Lechner Racing and Christophe Lapierre of Pierre Martinet by Alméras. in the AM class Maxence Maurice of IMSA Performance opened his account by taking first place finishing ahead of Franck Leherpeur of CLRT in second with Tugdual Rabreau of CLRT completing the podium.
