Ethan Hawkey completes Team Parker Racing Porsche Sprint Challenge GB line-up
Team Parker Racing is happy to confirm that Ethan Hawkey will join the team as part of its four-driver line up in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB for the 2021 campaign. Ethan, brother of Esmee who claimed the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am title with the team last year, comes with experience in the Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 Clubsport, having taken two podium finishes during the series’ inaugural season last time out.
After racing karts, the youngster moved into the Ginetta Junior Winter Series in 2017 and followed up with a full season in the Ginetta Junior Championship a year later. Remaining in the series for 2019, he took a podium finish before moving to the Sprint Challenge last year, finishing in the top five in eight of the ten races he contested.
Confirmation of Ethan’s drive means the team’s line up for the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB is now set, as he joins Matt Armstrong in the Pro class, while Charlie March and Kurt Leimer will race in the Am class this season.
The series gets underway at Thruxton, in Hampshire, this weekend (May 8/9) with two 16-lap races, the second of which will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on ITV4 HD and online via ITV Hub.

"I am looking forward to the season as I have the experience from last year, so I think that will give me a great chance of success this time out. I understand the car, so I know how to refine the set up and get the most out of it.
"Team Parker Racing is very professional, and the deal came about from Esmee racing there. She really liked the team and enjoyed her time here, so it is a good environment for me to be in and a place I want to stay for the future. I would like to go up to the Carrera Cup if things go well and then look at the Sueprcup route as that really interests me: the racing is great and Porsche cars are fantastic to drive.
"Thruxton is a circuit I am looking forward to and we know a few things we can improve on from the test day, so I think we can be up there in the top three fighting for a podium. I have to back myself for the season and think I have the pace to beat the competition and will be looking for race wins too."
