Falken Motorsports celebrates a double victory at the start of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series

Falken Motorsports got off to a perfect start to the new ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series season with an impressive one-two finish. The team's two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs dominated the action in the Green Hell and once again demonstrated their strength on the demanding Nordschleife. After a challenging qualifying session and a tricky tire strategy, Sven Müller and Morris Schuring won in the number 3 car ahead of their teammates Nico Menzel and Dorian Boccolacci in the sister number 4 car.

Even the morning qualifying session indicated that the first race of the year would be no easy task. Despite dry conditions, incidents and long yellow flag phases prevented fast lap times, so the two Falken Porsches only started the race from positions eleven and fifteen. The Eifel region showed its unpredictable side before the race began: A sudden rain shower transformed the Nordschleife into a slippery challenge even before the race started.

Falken Motorsports opted to start on rain tires – a choice that proved suboptimal. After just the first lap, Müller and Menzel headed to the pits to switch to slicks. This decision paid off. As the track dried out, the Falken Porsches demonstrated the potential of the slick tires and steadily worked their way forward with impressive lap times.

The race developed into an internal duel between the turquoise and blue cars. At times, the two Porsches drove bumper to bumper around the legendary race track, demonstrating not only their performance but also the team's perfect coordination. Before the halfway point, they took the lead and continued to the finish. Even a final refueling stop with a tire change shortly before the end of the race didn't jeopardize their well-deserved victory: After more than four hours of racing, the two Falken Porsches were separated by only a few seconds.

With this impressive one-two victory, Falken Motorsports is clearly marking the season and demonstrating that the team is well prepared for the challenges ahead. The next test will be on April 26 at the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy, where the team will continue its testing for the prestigious Nürburgring 24-hour race.
