Five races on four different circuits form the red line of the third edition of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux.

2024 will be the third season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux in its current form, in other words a competition for drivers who want to take their first steps in motorsport, gentlemen drivers and young drivers who want to take a different path than the single-seaters follow. This season they will again be offered five meetings, each with two races on four different circuits in the Benelux. As always, you can race with various Porsche competition models, ranging from the various versions of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, over the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 991 – to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 –.

“The Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux changes little or nothing compared to the previous seasons, with visits to Zandvoort, Zolder, Assen, Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort again,” says Series Manager Lars Plato. “In addition, there will also be two additional test days, one the day before the first races, of course in Zandvoort, and a second before the race at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. The format also remains identical, with all activities on one day, starting with free practice, through the qualifying session for both races and then of course two intense 30-minute sprint races to determine the winners of the day. All activities take place not only on one day, but also on weekdays. For example, racing takes place on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. All these are the ingredients that we have fine-tuned over the past two seasons and that this season will result in a strong third year of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux in the current format, with nice starting fields.”

New Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport gives boost to GT4 class

New this year is the arrival of the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, a car that will undoubtedly give a boost to the GT4 class, where the previous generations of the successful Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport remain welcome, of course with their own classification, with the AM drivers also know their own competition again.

“In addition, there are of course the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 991 – and the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 –, which compete in their own classification, with the '992' of course also having a classification for the AM drivers,” says Lars Plato continues.

“With regard to the drivers who will appear at the start of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux, it is important to emphasize that everyone can in principle appear in our competition,” said Lars Plato. “After all, Porsche has a motorsport pyramid of which the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux is a part. But the Porsche Track Experience, track days and on-track training are also part of that pyramid and anyone who wants can switch from the Porsche Track Experience to the competition in our competition.”

Appointment on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 May for the official test day and the first competition day of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux.
