Manthey Racing's Porsche 911 GT3 R "Grello" will once again take part in the Nurburgring Endurance Series in 2021. Of course, the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring are in the viewfinder and this car will be one of the favorites.

The German team has just unveiled its crew for the German classic. The official Porsche driver, Kévin Estre, will be the leader. The Frenchman will be associated with Michael Christensen who was not renewed by the Porsche factory this year. He is reunited with his team-mate, with whom he won the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours in the GTE Pro class and was crowned GT World Champion in the WEC, 2018/2019 season.

The last two men are Matteo Cairoli and Lars Kern, the latter being Porsche test driver. He knows "Green Hell" extremely well!

The Meuspath-based racing team also plans to enter the number 911 sports car in all rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series prior to the endurance classic in the Eifel, as well as in the 24-hour qualifying race.

Nicolas Raeder (Management Manthey-Racing GmbH):
“After a mixed 2020 season, in which we were unable to compete in our home race, the Nürburgring 24h-race, we are looking forward to the upcoming season with anticipation. The NLS worked out a brilliant concept last year so that we were able to race at all. We hope that the season can start as planned and that little by little fans will be allowed to join us again. We are well prepared and ready to fight for victories."

Kévin Estre (Porsche 911 GT3 R #911):
"I was delighted with the news that I would be competing for Manthey-Racing on the Nordschleife again this year. I feel like having a personal connection to the "Grello" after the 2018-2019 years together. In addition, we have a great driver pairing: with Michael I have already celebrated many victories, Lars is one of the most experienced Nordschleife drivers and Matteo, as a young driver, already brings a lot of experience and also speed. I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of the Grello."

Lars Kern (Porsche 911 GT3 R #911):
"I'm delighted to be able to contest another season with Manthey Racing on the Nordschleife. For me, it's the dream combination: best track, best team, best car. It would also be nice if things return to normal this year and we have fans and atmosphere at the track again - the Nordschleife and the surrounding area lives from the enthusiasm around it. Our driver line-up doesn't need many words: two world champions and Matteo has already driven two 24h-races together with me. I can't wait for it to start."
