Parker Revs Motorsport is delighted to confirm two new faces behind the wheel this weekend (July 30-August 1), as the Porsche Supercup travels to the Hungaroring in Hungary for the fourth round of the season.

Talented British racer Garry Findlay will join for the remainder of the 2021 season in the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), replacing Michael Crees, after the cancellation of the UK round meant his partners couldn’t fully activate their plans with him this year.

Meanwhile Loek Hartog, who currently leads the Rookie standings in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, will drive the #17 car in Hungary, switching to a third machine when Harry King returns from Carrera Cup GB duties for the upcoming rounds at Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort.

After success in karting during his teens, Garry raced partial seasons in Formula Ford before a successful year in the Scholarship Class in 2008, claiming 12 wins from 19 races entered, missing out on the title by just 13 points. Claiming ten podiums en route to third in the overall standings a year later, he found further progress difficult owing to budget constraints.

Setting his sights on sportscars thereafter, he did well in VdeV, scored a podium on his LMP3 debut, and made several impressive appearances in LMP2, before switching his focus to coaching and driver development in recent years.

Loek, a talented 19-year-old, has been racing since his dad bought a kart when he was four years old, making his car debut at the age of 13 and winning the Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup in 2018 during his first full season of competition. He claimed two wins in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux in 2019, en route to third in the standings and in 2020 claimed the championship title with Patrick de Groot, while also racing in one-off events in Carrera Cup Deutschland at Le Mans, and Spa in the Porsche Supercup.

This season he has taken three Rookie victories in the German series, scoring his best result of the year last time out at Zandvoort, where he was second overall, adding to top-ten finishes at Spa, Red Bull Ring, and Monza.

Parker Revs Motorsport will be on track at 17:25 CEST / 16:25 BST on Friday, July 30, with qualifying the following afternoon at 13:55 CEST / 12:55 BST. The race itself will be held on Sunday, August 1 at 12:10 CEST / 11:10 BST.

“We have been trying to get back into racing over the past few years, perhaps in GT3, but nothing came about, so it seemed like all avenues were closed. My manager, Don, knows Stuart really well going back to when Stuart was in karting, so he contacted him about perhaps testing something and it has all happened really quickly since then.

“I had always thought about Supercup, but it seemed a bit unachievable, so for the stars to align for this has been fantastic. It’s probably going to be the baptism of all fires, but in some ways, it takes the pressure off, so I will be going to Hungary to get used to how the weekend operates and get time behind the wheel.

“When we go to Spa, I will have a bank of knowledge, I will have driven the car, I will be comfortable in it, and we can focus on the finer points and maximise the time we have. I’ll be putting my best foot forwards and be looking to make inroads from then onwards.”

“I know Patrick really well and worked with him last year to become champion in Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. We couldn’t find a way to work together this time out, though I have always wanted to do a full season in the Supercup.

“I believe if you put in good performances that you will get your shot, so I signed to do Carrera Cup Deutschland this year, which has had some ups and downs, but I got my first podium at my home track Zandvoort last weekend.

“We started to talk to Patrick and my partners about the Supercup during that race, so we agreed a deal. I don’t like the idea of doing just one round, so I am really honoured to have their support to do three races this year and perhaps have a shot at the full season in 2022.

“I really want to thank my partners Hotbath, Career Rebels, Porsche Centre Amsterdam, Hogenhouck, Kameleon Solar, and Korton Group, as well as Black Falcon for supporting me to do three side events with a new team!”
