Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux resumes after a month of summer break on the very popular JACK'S Racing

After a good month of summer break, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux is back! This time, the meeting place is the legendary Assen motorcycle circuit, which is of course is also a very challenging circuit on four wheels. The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux is racing on the very well attended JACK's Racing Day. The weekend of the 6 and 7 August will be one of engines, demos and great races, with the seventh and eighth race of the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux as the icing on the cake!

The JACK'S Racing Day is the largest combined car, motorcycle and kart racing event in Europe at the TT Circuit Assen. The public has free entry to the event in the famous TT grandstands and enjoy a full day program of car races, motorcycle races, super karts races, stunts and demonstrations of F1 cars. It goes without saying that this event is very popular.

“Just like at Circuit Zolder, this is a meeting with a lot of national and Benelux series, with which we strengthen our position in the motorsport pyramid of the Low Countries”, says Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux Series Manager Olivier Aerts. “The proximity of our colleagues makes it possible to show what level our competition is at and what we can do for our customers. In this way we are already working towards the future, especially the 2024 season. In Assen we will continue to compete hard in all classes, whether it is 'Overall', in Pro-Am or in the Am category. We are ready for the first meeting of the second half of the season and that means that we are gradually entering the decisive phase of the championship, which will only increase the tension.”

We also see a number of changes in the field of participants in Assen, but the battle remains unchanged at the front. At Zandvoort, Glenn Van Parijs (NGT Racing) managed for the first time to stay ahead of Harry King (Parker Revs Motorsport) in the results and the Hasselaar is the main rival of the Briton, but also Ghislain Cordeel (Team GP Elite) , teammates Sam Dejonghe and Xavier Maassen (#TeamPGZ by RedAnt Racing), and home drivers Rik Koen (Parker Revs Motorsport) and Lucas van Eijndhoven (JW Raceservice), will certainly do everything they can to play at the front. Also striking is the presence of three young newcomers in the 'Pro' category, with Michiel Haverans in the colors of Belgium Racing, alongside Lars Poell and Will Aspin (Parker Revs Motorsport).

In Pro-Am, leader Jan Lauryssen (Q1 Trackracing) and his pursuers Tom Boonen (#TeamPGZ by RedAnt Racing) and Didier Glorieux (Speedlover) are joined by Ziad Geris (Team GP Elite), while Koen Wauters with his group Clouseau will not be there.

In 'Am', the man from France, Sébastien Lajoux (DUWO Racing) leads the charts, but Stijn Lowette (NGT Racing) will certainly not give up yet. Jaume Font (Baporo Motorsport), Sven van Laere (JW Raceservice) and Luc Vanderfeesten (#TeamPGZ by RedAnt Racing) will also be racing.

The meeting will start on Friday with free practice sessions at 10:36 AM and 3:13 PM, followed by the qualifying session at 10:01 AM on Saturday morning. The races are scheduled for Saturday at 3:04 PM and Sunday at 11:59 AM, each time over 30 minutes and one lap.
