For Justin Sherwood, the 2021 season will be his seventh in the Carrera Cup and eighth racing Porsches with Team Parker Racing and, after claiming the Am championship crown in both 2019 and 2020, means the chance to complete a remarkable hat-trick of titles.

Justin Armstrong, meanwhile, made his first appearance in the series last year after previously racing Caterhams with the team. After a difficult start to the campaign, he quickly got to grips with the machinery and enjoyed good battles on track, narrowly missing out on second place in the standings.

Both Justins join reigning overall champion Harry King and Pro-Am title hopeful Ryan Ratcliffe as confirmed entries for Team Parker Racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, with further announcements to come, while Justin Armstrong’s son, Matt, will make his debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, also with Team Parker Racing.

Justin Sherwood

“Last year was magnificent for Team Parker Racing and it will be great to come back and try to repeat that success this time out. It is such an enjoyable environment to race in every weekend, both with the team and the battles on track, that it was an easy decision to return and try to win the title for the third time in a row.”

Justin Armstrong

“I am looking forward to coming back to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB for a second year. Last time out was a bit strange, with the disrupted calendar, but once out on track I enjoyed every minute of it. It was a steep learning curve, but the team has helped me to keep improving and I can’t wait to get back out on track this season.”

Ryan Ratcliffe will also return to Team Parker Racing for the 2021 season as he sets his sights on the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am championship title, a year after narrowly missing out on the crown on his debut in the series.

The 27-year-old previously competed in endurance racing, including two years in the British GT Championship with the team, before making the switch to the Carrera Cup in 2020, where he finished runner-up to team-mate Esmee Hawkey, taking the battle right to the final round of the season.

Despite being a new car, new championship, and racing under the strains of the global pandemic, Ryan claimed an impressive six wins in the Pro-Am class, while also taking the fight on track to Pro category drivers, consistently competing in the top-ten overall as he got to grips with the challenging but rewarding Porsche 911 GT3 Cup used in the series.

In addition, he and team-mate Justin Armstrong also entered the British GT Championship’s Silverstone 500 in November, with Justin’s GT3 Cup machine, where they ran a faultless race, taking the class victory after three gruelling hours of racing.
