Car Collection Motorsport starts the 2025 GT Open with a strong driver line-up

Car Collection Motorsport is also fully motivated for the International GT Open Championship in 2025. The team will be represented by drivers “Hash” from the USA and Swiss driver Alex Fontana, who together form a strong driver pairing.

After an extremely successful debut in the GT Open Championship last year, Car Collection Motorsport is continuing its involvement in this prestigious European racing series. In the 2024 season, the team from Walluf celebrated several victories and podium finishes.

In the new season, Car Collection Motorsport will once again compete with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The car with starting number 30 will be driven by “Hash” and Alex Fontana, who already achieved impressive results in the GT Open last year, including a class victory in Barcelona.

Alex Fontana is one of the top drivers in international GT racing and has proven his class in the past with both outstanding lap times and numerous successes. “Hash” completed his first full season in GT racing in 2024 and showed a steep learning curve right from the start. Supported by his mentor Alex Fontana, he was able to continuously improve and show remarkable performances.

The focus for the well-rehearsed duo is now on building on the experiences of the past season. The aim is to regularly collect points in the fiercely competitive Pro-Am class and challenge for podium places.

Alex Fontana, driver: “2025 is my third year in a row with Car Collection. Returning to the GT Open for a second season with Hash and our Porsche GT3 R is the right step for our journey together. Building on a solid Pro-Am debut season last year with our first win as well as the first GT3 season for Hash, another year in a familiar environment is the perfect choice to achieve even better results.”

Peter Schmidt, Team Principal: “I am delighted to be competing in the GT Open again this year after our debut season. This series is highly professional and the competition is strong. It’s great that we can continue our journey together with Alex and “Hash” and build on last year’s work. I am sure that together we can be very successful this year.”
