Fifth and sixth race of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe this weekend in Valencia

The 2025 season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe is moving at full throttle. After exciting rounds in Portugal at Portimão and Estoril, the championship now heads to Spain for the second half of the season, with back-to-back weekends in Valencia and Barcelona. With the title fight in both the Sport and Club Divisions heating up, the arrival of additional skilled guest drivers is set to further elevate the competition. Motorsport enthusiasts can expect top-tier racing action this weekend in Valencia!

Two more thirty-minute sprint races are on the schedule in both the Sport and Club Divisions, promising a weekend of high-intensity battles. Among the key contenders are current championship leader Flynt Schuring (91 points, Schumacher CLRT) and his closest rival Ariel Levi (85 points, Team GP Elite). They will be joined by a host of young talents eager to make their mark, reinforcing the championship’s role as a stepping stone within the Porsche Motorsport pyramid.

"The first half of the season has clearly demonstrated how the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe serves as a launching pad for young talent," says Series Manager Lars Plato. "Take Chester Kieffer (Schumacher CLRT), for example, who not only leads the Rookie classification but also holds third place in the overall standings. But he is not the only one; emerging drivers like Hjelte Hoffner (MDM Motorsport), Mees Muller (PG Motorsport), Luciano Martinez (Ombra Racing), and Charl Michel Visser (Target Competition) are also making waves. This weekend, their ranks will be further bolstered by young guest drivers, including Porsche GB Junior James Wallis, representing Proton Huber Competition. Without a doubt, our series is the ideal proving ground for aspiring talents."

Additional noteworthy guest drivers in Valencia include Kas Haverkort (Team GP Elite), Karen Gaillard (Schumacher CLRT), and Sébastian Freymuth (Target Competition).

"Our grid continues to expand, and the overall level of competition keeps improving," Lars Plato adds.

Philippe Wils aims to maintain his winning form

Excitement is also building for the fifth and sixth races of the Club Division, where Philippe Wils (Proton Huber Competition) has been the dominant force. However, his rivals, including Angelo Fontana (EST1 Racing) and Javier Ripoll Junior (EST1 Racing), remain determined to challenge his lead.

"We are eagerly anticipating another thrilling weekend in the Club Division," says Lars Plato. "With several new entrants, including GT4-class competitors, we expect an action-packed event. We are committed to delivering yet another fantastic weekend of Porsche racing!"
