First race and first victory for Herberth Motorsport in Le Mans Cup

Herberth Motosport's # 91 Porsche, driven by Robert Renauer and Ralf Bohn, is the first to cross the finish line for the German team's debut in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and after starting from the back of the grid. The # 91 is ahead of its sister car the # 92 as well as the # 8 Ferrari of Iron Lynx (Rino Mastronardi / Logan Sargeant) which wins the maximum number of points in the championship standings. However, the Porsche Noumber 91 was given a penalty of one revolution and 32 seconds for failing to comply with the minimum driving time of Robert Renaueur (Decision #12), which retrograde to 6 e instead.

The field of the seven GT3s is led by Rino Mastronardi, on the Ferrari # 8 of Iron Lynx. The # 91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche had to start from the back of the grid for a non-compliant diffuser height after qualifying. In turn 4 of the first lap of the race, she was already in second position in the category, in the hands of Ralf Bohn.

Only 1''1 second separates the top 3 GT3 (Ferrari # 8, Porsche # 91 and Porsche # 2 of Pzoberer Zïrichsee by TFT). The two Porsches are in a fight for second place, which allows the Ferrari to increase its lead to 5 seconds on the tenth lap, when the Safety Car enters the track. On the restart, the # 2 Porsche was second and immediately launched an assault on Mastronardi for the lead. But the Italian remains in command. During the pit stops in the middle of the race, the classification is upset by the changes in strategy caused by the Safety Car. The Ferrari # 61 of Stéphane Tribaudini (AF Corse) made a good comeback and occupied several laps during the lead of the GT3 category before passing in turn to the pits. The two Porsche Herberth Motorsport occupy the first two places. Now at the wheel of the # 8 Ferrari, Logan Sargeant narrows the gap on the # 92 Porsche of Alfred Renauer.

Very experienced Wolf Henzler's # 2 Porsche is harassed by Doriane Pin's # 9 Ferrari (Iron Lynx). The young Frenchwoman pushed the German to its limits and ended up taking the best at the end of the race.

Robert Renauer (Porsche # 91) escapes in the lead, leaving the Porsche # 92 and the Ferrari # 8 to the wheel to wheel struggle. Alfred Renauer uses all the tricks of the trade to keep Logan Sargeant behind him, who is competing in his first race at the wheel of a GT3. At the finish line, the # 91 Porsche receives the checkered flag with one lap ahead of the # 92, which precedes the Ferrari # 8, third by 0.84. The # 91 Porsche received a post-race penalty. Indeed, Robert Renauer's driving time was 52: 32.081 instead of the regulation 55: 00.000. The penalty, one revolution and 32 seconds retrograde Porsche to the 6 th place and promotes # 92 in the 1 st position.

The two Porsches are not entered for the entire season, the 25 points of the victory are attributed to the Ferrari # 8 of Rino Mastronardi and Logan Sargeant. The 18 points for second place go to the # 9 Ferrari of Dorian Pin and Sarah Bovy. The women's duo precedes the Porsche # 2 of Wolf Henzler and Nicolas Leutwiler by 1''1 second, which receives 15 points for third place.

The next round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place in Monza (Italy) on Saturday July 10.
