GPX racing will not be at Le Mans despite invitation

Second in the Asian Le Mans Series GT championship, GPX Racing had an invitation to the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours in GTE. The Dubai-based team has not finally validated its invitation to Sarthois soil. The teams had until noon 24-2-21 to validate their registration for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

"Le Mans remains a goal for GPX Racing but at the moment we do not consider that we do not have the necessary package. It would be a hasty decision that would not allow us to arrive at the start in the conditions we are looking for,"said Pierre-Brice Mena, the team's main team. "There are too many unknowns to consider the project in accordance with our standards. It's just not the best time! But we are confident that there will be other opportunities. We'll have to be a little more patient!"

After a victory in the Dubai 24 Hours and two victories in four Asian Le Mans Series races, the continuation of THE GPX Racing program will be the commitment of a Porsche 911 GT3 R in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS in the Pro class.

Depending on the 2021/2022 schedule, GPX Racing could be back in the Asian Le Mans Series next season.

Precote Herberth Motorsport, Rinaldi Racing and Inception Racing remain the three GT teams to have an invitation following the Asian Le Mans Series. The GPX Racing ticket will therefore be put back in the Selection Committee's list.
