Harry Tincknell completes Dempsey-Proton Racing crew for 2022

WEC

The two Multimatic drivers, Harry Tincknell and Sebastian Priaulx, have signed with Dempsey-Proton Racing, the Porsche team that competes in GTE-Am in the WEC. They will be accompanied by skipper/pilot, Christian Ried. The trio will compete in the number 77 Porsche 911 RSR-19 during the six WEC rounds of the season and therefore at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

Harry Tincknell has already driven a Porsche GTE at Proton at Le Mans last year, the number 99 he shared with Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak and Florian Latorre. This car was also overseen by Multimatic (suspsension abandonment).

Sebastian Priaulx will take his first steps with a GTE, in the WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 21-year-old won the inaugural Porsche Carrera Cup North America last year. He made his Endurance debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona last month driving the Ligier JS P320 Sean Creech Motorsport in the LMP3 category (2nd). He can count on the wise advice of his "dad", Andy Priaulx. Moreover, this signing with Dempsey-Proton revives the Tincknell-Priaulx partnership which existed in the WEC for three seasons with the Ford GT program.

I'm delighted to be back in the WEC and at Proton after making my debut with the team at Le Mans last year ," said Harry Tincknell ."I managed to quickly pick up the pace in the Porsche 911 RSR which has very different characteristics to the Ford GT and the Aston Martin Vantage. I was very impressed with the team, who have a lot of experience and the results that go with it. Christian is one of the best Bronze riders and, with Seb, I think we have the fastest Silver. It also means that I will have raced with two generations of Priaulx. I have a lot learned from Andy in the WEC and now I'm going to pass some of that knowledge on to his son, Seb, he did an amazing job in the Porsche Carrera Cup last year so I have no doubt he will be very fast in WEC Representing Porsche is a great honour,so I'm very motivated to do a good job and see what we can achieve."

Multimatic team boss Larry Holt explained that his structure will support the #77 Dempsey-Proton, Racing Porsche this season. “ Multimatic Motorsports has a quieter competition year in 2022 as we design and develop the Mustang GT3 for 2024 and continue to support Porsche in the development of the LMDh car, so we have turned to our partners to keep the drivers busy  . placed Dirk Müller and Austin Cindric at Proton USA for the 24 Hours of Daytona this year (in the Mercedes-AMG GT3)  and now Harry and Seb will contest the full WEC season with Christian Ried in a Porsche Dempsey-Proton.We will also provide technical support to the car, as we did last year at  Le Mans!”
