2020 was the first time After Huber Motorsport opted to race the Porsche 911 GT3 R and the team wants to build on the successes of last year. The team from Albaching won the title in the SP9 Pro-AM in both the NLS and the 24h race at the Nürburgring.

But it was not only with the GT3 R that the Bavarian team was successful with in last year’s 24 classic at the Nürburgring Nordschleife that was raced under difficult and unpredictable weather conditions, Philipp Neuffer, Hans Wehrmann, Florian Spengler and Johannes Stengel also won the SP7 in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car.

For the 2021 season, the Huber Porsches will be sporting a new design from the traditional red and black colours and will be trophy hunting in a new partner look.

Philipp Neuffer and Nico Menzel who first raced together for Huber Motorsport last season in the GT3 Cup Car will pilot the blue Porsche 911 GT3 R with the neon yellow accents around the Nordschleife as the two regular drivers.

The team are well prepared for the season despite Neuffer and Menzel only having tested the once at Paul Ricard earlier this week and are looking forward to the start of the season this weekend.

Returning the fold in the Cup car Hans Wehrmann will welcome the two new drivers Achim Thyssen with the third still be announced by the team.

Reinhard Huber, team leader: "I am delighted that after a long winter break we will once again be part of the NLS with both Porsches this year. We have been successfully on the Nordschleife for many years and would like to build on our good results this season."
