Kalle Rovanperä will race in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux in season 2024

Two-time WRC World Champion Kalle Rovanperä will make his debut in circuit racing by taking part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux series in the 2024 season. Rovanperä will drive four of six races with RedAnt Racing.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux series contains six races. The headliner of the series is the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992). Rovanperä believes that this will be a very fitting first step for him into the world of circuit racing.

”Porsche Carrera Cup is my first opener into the world of circuit racing. RedAnt Racing seeks for young and relatively inexperienced drivers that they can help proceed in their careers. Based on the discussions we’ve had I believe that both the series and the team offer me an excellent chance to test, race and develop in circuit racing. A big thanks to Unibet, RedAnt and Toyota Gazoo Racing for making this possible!” Kalle Rovanperä says in a press release from his partner Unibet.

”I will race in four races of the six-race season,” two-time WRC champion states.

The races Rovanperä will take part in will be confirmed later.

Team Owner Bert Redant is very excited about Rovanperä’s debut.

”We are very pleased to welcome two-time world champion Kalle Rovanperä to RedAnt Racing for our Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux campaign. After our restructuring together with Marc Goossens over the past two years, this is proof of our ambitions and plans for the near future,” Redant comments.

“I am very happy with Kalle's arrival at RedAnt Racing. After conversations with his engineering crew from rally, I understand that in addition to his talent he also has the right work ethic to build success in a professional manner. I am very motivated, and can’t wait to support Kalle in his transition to circuit racing,” Team Manager Marc Goossens says.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2024 season will include six races in Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and Austria.
