KCMG Focused on achieving strong result in Nurburgring 24 Hour qualifiers

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is set to tackle the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers this weekend (6-8 May) on the gruelling Nordschleife, as the team continues its preparation for the ADAC TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Nürburgring at the end of the month.

The upcoming weekend will see a change in format, with two three-hour races replacing the usual six-hour event. Three days of running gives the teams more track time this year, with qualifying taking place on Friday, ahead of races on both Saturday and Sunday.

KCMG’s NLS 1 podium finishers Dennis Olsen and Josh Burdon will compete in the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R. Following his appearance for the team at NLS 3, Earl Bamber will also join the crew, with Nick Tandy completing the line-up.

DENNIS OLSEN
“I’m excited to take part in the Qualifiers this weekend, and the whole team has been working very hard. We’ve been developing as much as we can to make sure we’re in the best shape possible for the event. It’ll be great to have Nick join us and I’m optimistic we can secure another positive result on the Nordschleife.”

EARL BAMBER
“We had really strong pace during NLS 3 and now it’s time to take another step forward in the qualifying races. Competing on the Nürburgring is always a challenge and I’m ready to take on this weekend with KCMG. The team have targets for this event, so I’m looking forward to joining up with the rest of the crew and putting in a strong performance on track.”

NICK TANDY
“Firstly I have to say a big thanks to Paul and everyone at KCMG for welcoming me back to the team. It’s brilliant to be racing here at the Nürburgring again and with a crew that has such high aspirations. I can’t wait to take part in the Qualifiers, and I’m sure we can achieve a good result. I’ve had success with Earl and Dennis in the past so it’s great to race alongside them again, and I’m looking forward to working with Josh for the first time. I’m eager to return to the track with KCMG and I’m ready for my first laps around the Nordschleife on Sunday.”

JOSH BURDON
“I’m keen to get back behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R for this weekend’s qualifying races. Our results at the Nordschleife have been good so far this season, so I’m excited to be working with team again and to continue our momentum. I’m delighted to welcome Nick to the line-up and we’re all hoping for a positive weekend.”

MATT HOWSON TEAM MANAGER
“We’re now entering a critical phase of the build-up to this year’s Nürburgring 24-hour race, and it’s a pleasure to welcome Nick back to the team. Together with Dennis, Josh and Earl, the four drivers form a really formidable line-up for the upcoming event. We’re confident in our pace and our potential, so now is the time to gather the last essential data and information, as well as aiming for a strong result in the qualifying races. A good performance will be key to starting the Nürburgring 24 weekend in a strong position.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“The team has been hard at work preparing and improving so far this season, and it’s shown in our pace on-track. The push resumes for the qualifying races, and I’m sure we can continue the positive results we’ve achieved this year so far on the Nordschleife. It’s great to welcome Earl and Nick back to the team, they’re both excellent drivers, who will strengthen our crew. Our goal is to put in a positive performance so we can start our 24-hour weekend in the best position possible, and to keep developing and learning so we are fully up to speed for the big event at the end of the month.”
