Victory for Jaxon Evans in Barcelona

Jaxon Evans did not let his chance pass in Barcelona during race 1 of the Porsche Carrera Cup France meeting. The New Zealander, who rides for BWT Lechner Racing, won after 17 laps, beating Adam Eteki (CLRT) 1.484s. The last step of the podium went to Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer, also a resident of BWT Lechner Racing.

Qualifying

Florian Latorre took a new pole in the Porsche Carrera Cup France. The resident of the CLRT team of Côme Ledogar beat the competition on the Barcelona track which hosts the 2020 final.

With a best time of 1: 47.239, Florian Latorre was 0.221s ahead of Ayhancan Güven (Martinet by Almeras). Two BWT Lechner Racing drivers follow in the standings with Jaxon Evans and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer respectively. Marvin Klein (Martinet by Almeras), Adam Eteki (CLRT) and Richard Wagner (BWT Lechner Racing) finished in the same second as the poleman.

In Pro-Am, pole went to Nicolas Misslin (BWT Lechner Racing) ahead of Christophe Lapierre (Sébastien Loeb Racing), his usual opponent. For his return to the Cup, Roland Bervillé (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) took 6th time.

The Race

Victor Blugeon (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) and Richard Wagner (BWT Lechner Racing) completed the top 5. For his return to the Cup, Hugo Chevalier (CLRT) took a very good 6th place, ahead of Nicolas Misslin (BWT Lechner Racing), winner in Pro-Am. While starting from pole, Florian Latorre (CLRT) could not do better than 11th place. CLRT made the double in Am thanks to François Lansard and Emil Caumes.
