With 23 cars, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring started the sixth round as part of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). With second and third place overall, the Cup 2 class achieved the best PETN result in the history of the Porsche one-make series at the ADAC 6h Ruhr-Pokal race.

On the overall podium finished class winners Steve Jans, Tobias Müller and Gabriele Piana from BLACK FALCON Team 48 LOSCH (#148) as well as Daniel Blickle, David Jahn and Tim Scheerbarth from AVIA W&S Motorsport (#120). Meanwhile, Joshua Bednarski, Lucas Daugaard and Moritz Oberheim from AVIA W&S Motorsport (#962) secured the early championship in the Cup 3 class with a class win. After the 6-hour race, they have an unassailable lead in the team and driver standings. The trio is also in a promising position in the overall NLS standings: Bednarski, Daugaard and Oberheim lead the table by 16 points with two races to go.

The winners in the AM-classification were Mustafa Mehmet Kaya and Mike Stursberg with PRO-driver Gabriele Piana from BLACK FALCON (#103) in Cup 2 and Leonard Oehme and Moritz Oehme from Team Oehme (#944) in Cup 3 class. While the win in the Gentlemen drivers’ classification also went to the Oehme-duo, Bill Cameron and Jim Cameron from Team Cameron (#113) secured the victory as best placed AM driver pairing in Cup 2 class.

The race was overshadowed by an incident in the paddock during the test and set-up runs on Friday evening. The thoughts of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring continue to be with those affected. Further information can be found on the official pages of the NLS. Following the incident, the NLS organisers decided to let the ADAC 6h Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen take place.
