Season opener of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup postponed due to severe weather conditions

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which was planned as the season opener of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, has been postponed. As early as Tuesday, heavy rain and flooding in northern Italy made it necessary to evacuate the paddock at the race track in Imola.

"We fully endorse the decision taken by the Formula 1 officials and the Italian authorities. The safety of fans, teams and all personnel has absolute priority. In the current situation, going ahead with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix would also have tied up resources of the police and rescue services that are urgently needed elsewhere. Our thoughts are with the people and the communities in the region," said Oliver Schwab, Project Manager Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

The season opener of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has been postponed to the Monaco Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place the following weekend (25 to 28 May 2023).
