24H Spa: a tribute livery for GPX Martini Racing

A new iconic livery for the GPX Martini Racing Porsche at the 24 Hours of Spa!

After having announced their participation in the 24 Hours of Spa with Michael Christensen, Richard Lietz and Kevin Estre, the same trio of drivers who won the race three years ago in their Porsche 911 GT3 R, GPX Martini Racing today presented their new livery. It marks a return to the famous Martini Racing colours on an iconic metallic grey background emblematic of the no. 21 Porsche 917 LH driven by Larrousse-Elford in the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans. Even the no. 21 of this car has been adapted to 221 indicating a 2nd 21!

Today, the #21 Martini Racing Porsche 917 is on display in the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. Frédéric Fatien, owner of GP Extreme, recently visited it with Pierre-Brice Mena, the group’s manager director. “The activities of the different branches of GP Extreme always have a strong link with the heritage of motor sport,“ stated the latter. “This is why we’re happy to breathe new life into the legend and communicate this passion to the fans during the 24 Hours of Spa with the complicity of Porsche.”

Three years after winning the 24 Hours of Spa, GPX Martini Racing is renewing its winning trio made up of Kévin Estre, Richard Lietz and Michael Christensen.

In its first season in GT3 in 2019, GPX Racing took victory at the 24 Hours of Spa with its Porsche in Gulf colors. The team then paid tribute to the victorious Porsche 908 at the Targa Florio before announcing a new title partnership in early 2021. GPX Martini Racing had thus fielded a car in Belgium bearing the number 22 and a livery inspired by the Porche 917 which had won the 24 Hours of Le Mans 50 years earlier.

"The activities of the various branches of GP Extreme always have a strong link with the heritage of motorsport,"  said the latter. “That's why we are happy to bring the legend back to life and communicate this passion to the fans during the 24 Hours of Spa, with the complicity of Porsche. »
