2nd and 3rd for Porsche in ADAC GT Masters at the lausitzring

The Mercedes-AMG drivers Mick Wishofer and Dorian Boccolacci took overall hourners for Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing who put in a strong performance in the Sunday race of the ADAC GT Masters at the Lausitzring securing their first victory in the "League of Super Sports Cars" in wet conditions. Second place went to Robert Renauer and Klaus Bachler of Precote Herberth Motorsport. Renauer with third place going to the Precote Herberth Motorsport sister car of Alfred Renauer and Sebastian Asch.

Mick Wishofer and Dorian Boccolacci laid the foundation for their victory with an impressive stint from starting driver Boccolacci. The Frenchman started the race from 17th place and was already ninth after the first lap. Even after that, the former Formula 2 driver made up other positions and was already fifth before the pit stops. After a late driver change, partner Wishofer came back on the track in third place. Only a few laps later, the Austrian passed Robert Renauer's Porsche in second place and immediately afterwards took first place when the Audi that had been leading up to that point was pole-setters Benjamin Goethe and Frédéric Vervisch of Team WRT had to complete a drive-through penalty for an offense during a pit stop. Wishofer then controlled the race and saw with 4, 6 seconds ahead of the checkered flag first. The 21-year-old and team-mate Boccolacci celebrated their debut success in the ADAC GT Masters, and Wishofer also won the Pirelli Junior classification. For their racing team Zakspeed it was the sixth in the "League of Super Sports Cars" and the first since 2016.

Robert Renauer and Klaus Bachler were on course for the podium throughout the race and were able to look forward to their second top 3 result of the weekend with second place. Renauer improved to second place overall. The Bavarian was shielded from the rear by the sister car of Sebastian Asch and Alfred Renauer, who took their first podium of the year.

In fourth place, the Mercedes-AMG drivers Luca Stolz and Maro Engel of Toksport WRT also scored important points in the fight for the title, in which they are fourth overall just 14 points behind the top of the table. Stolz and Engel started in 19th place and were also able to catch up well. Patric Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde of Rutronik Racing were behind the brand colleagues Indy Dontje and Maximilian Götz of Mann-Filter Team HTP-Winward Sixth place their lead in the standings, which they expanded to five points. The duo was in second place until a failed pit stop that resulted in a drive-through penalty.

Marvin Dienst and Philipp Frommenwiler of DLV Team Schütz Motorsport came in seventh with their Mercedes-AMG GT3, followed by Albert Costa Balboa and Franck Perera of GRT Grasser Racing Team) in the best Lamborghini ahead of Goethe and Vervisch, who had to be content with ninth after a long lead. Henric Skoog and Sheldon van der Linde of Schubert Motorsport) completed the top 10 with their BMW M6 GT3. With position 11, the Porsche duo Christian Engelhart and Michael Ammermüller kept their championship chances. The two drivers will travel to the season finale in Oschersleben next week as third in the table.
