Alceu Feldmann and Sadak Leite win Sunday's events at Interlagos

The 2023 Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard championship ended its first stage in high style in front of more than 5,992 spectators at Interlagos. The Carrera Cup and Sprint Challenge races were very busy, with fierce disputes to the end. In the 0 generation car class, the victory was with Alceu Feldmann for 100.991s. In the 2.0 car division, Sadak Leite won for the first time in his career, with a margin of 090 seconds.

With the top three finishers in the Carrera Cup race separated by just 0.447s at Interlagos, Alceu Feldmann won at Interlagos. He received the flag in front of Miguel Paludo. Winner the day before, Nicolas Costa finished third and holds the championship lead.

The Sport class also had competitionfrom start to finish, with pole Georgios Frangulis and Lucas Salles duelling from the front row to the final lap. This time the one who got the best was the competitor of the #88, who won in Sport and took the lead in the class. This was his first win in the division in a sprint championship race.

For Rookie, Edu Guedes repeated the victory the day before and opened up more advantage at the top of the points table.

The Sprint Challenge race was also raced in all platoons. Sadak Leite, who last year made his motorsport debut in the Endurance championship, led with authority, end to end. He sustained strong harassment from Cristian Mohr in the final, to win on his debut weekend in the sprint championship, also lifting the victory in the Sport class. With two second places in two days, the challenge championship leader is Cristian Mohr.

The race had great disputes within the top5, between Urubatan Junior and Antonella Bassani, who finished third and fourth. And it featured a memorable journey of recovery of Marcelo Tomasoni. Touched at the first corner, he fell to the end of the field and was able to take advantage of all the green flag time to make the necessary overtaking and get fifth place, climbing again on the podium.

Already by the Rookie Challenge class, again the victory was with Célio Brasil.

The opening of the season also featured the novelty of the Sprint Trophy category. The division presents itself as a school category and runs five stages in 2023 with 991.1 generation cars. The inaugural event had nine competitors at Interlagos and was won by Eduardo Taurisiano.

The next stage of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard takes place on April 15 and 16 at Velocitta.

"Too happy. I would once again like to thank my hot foot, my father who is at home cheering a lot. God comes to bless us to start the year like this. It's a lot more than I could imagine"
Alceu Feldmann

"It was a weekend that all worked out. My starts on Sunday are always less efficient than on Saturday, we lost some positions, but I managed to regain some positions. A lot has happened in a short time, we climb positions, we count on mistakes of the other riders. Victory in Sport is important, but the most important here is the podium overall, among the Carrera riders who are among the best in Brazil. I finish the first stage first of Sport and with important points overall."
Georgios Frangulis

"There's no way to start better and it's the first time I've started like this! Keep it that way all year. It was very difficult, I lost four positions within the category at the start, I had to be careful with friends and equipment, I took my foot off and came recovering to get that victory."
Edu Guedes

"I couldn't ask for more! Getting here on debut and getting a pole and a win in my first race, 15 years ago a rookie didn't win pole. I'm speechless, being here and competing at a high level is very important. After the first troubled lap we had, falling to the end of the peloton and recovering to third position with the car misaligned is of dreams. Finishing this stage with the championship lead is very important!"
Nicolas Costa

"It was a much better race than yesterday for us. We weren't slow yesterday, but the pace wasn't ideal for attacking. Today's adjustments, after several adversities, I managed to have the rhythm to attack the Alceu, even with the car misaligned. My brain was better than his, but it was not long before I could get through and win. For the next stage the goal is to achieve this pace from the beginning and not having to recover over the weekend. Positive balance with a third and a second here in Interlagos."
Miguel Paludo

"When I got here on Thursday, there was no left over the tyres, so I had to buy all the tyres possible within the regulations. I did a lot of new tyre drills to start feeling comfortable in the car just like I did in the 991.
Before the quali I felt upset, I was not competitive even if i passed zero tire and the pace did not get where I wanted. I spent countless hours at the racetrack trying to find the best hit and find the car. Coming home I stopped to think and saw that I was where I wanted, doing what I wanted, riding in the 992 here in the Porsche Cup. Saturday I arrived relaxed here and achieved good results, climbed 5 positions on Sunday and got a double podium and a top5 overall. I'm very happy with the performance, I managed to get my head on the final goal and finish a perfect weekend."
Nelson Marcondes

"I started Thursday and Friday training and managed to improve 3s of my time, a huge evolution. Saturday I got the P1 from Sport and lost the P1 overall by riding on the fast lap. In yesterday's race I rode alone, lost positions and important points. Today with the grid inverted it was very good, I concentrated a lot and took care of my own mistakes, because the pressure was huge. I did my job and focused on being fast and I knew it would be very difficult to be overcome by the proximity of cars and times."
Sadak Milk

"Perfect debut, better impossible this weekend! If my coach hadn't said anything, I'd be having fun by now."
Célio Brazil

"Unbelievable that, it was a jewation because it had a very strong rhythm. The inverted grid is a headache, I took all care to make a clean start, I did not support the car neither in the entrance nor at the exit. I had a cool head to recover, when I was getting in the fight ended the race, unfortunately. Now it's thinking about the next step."
Marcelo Tomasoni

"This is the main goal: to seek the title that escaped on the last lap last season. Starting in the championship is important and maintaining this regularity of good results is important to be alive in the race until the end. I want to thank all my sponsors and all of my team. Ricardinho has done coaching work for me and I'm learning a lot from him. We have everything to continue the championship at this pace and be champion at the end of the year."
Cristian Mohr

"Very good opening weekend. It was a very cool race, very different, a race where I had to defend myself a lot. A lot of fighting, I had to hold the competitors, because the general leader was in my category. Finishing the day second in the category and with class leadership is very important."
Antonio Junqueira

"It was a very busy race from start to finish, I knew it would be very busy and it wouldn't be easy. I made the first leg of the S with three paired cars. I was in the fight for leadership until the safety intervention and I knew it would turn crazy there. The first ones opened and I was in a race for third position, I finished fourth after trying very hard to take third place. It was a really cool race on the track, I learned a lot how to compete with them and I can use that in the next race."
Antonella Bassani
