CLRT team to participate in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe for the entire 2023 season

Founded in 2020 by Côme Ledogar in association with Tugdual Rabreau, Team CLRT, based in Lyon, has already had many successes with the Porsche 911 GT3 CUP, particularly in 2021 and 2022 in the Porsche Carrera Cup France. The Team has also participated in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup as well as the Porsche Sprint Challenge France since 2020.

In 2023 the Team is taking on new challenges and participating in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. The crew of the new Porsche 911 GT3 R includes Clément MATEU, Steven PALETTE and Frédéric MAKOWIECKI for Endurance as well as Stéphane DENOUAL and Steven PALETTE for the Sprint Cup.

Although the Team is new to the series, 2 out of 4 drivers have already driven for CLRT.

Clément MATEU won the title of Vice-Champion Pro-Am in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup during the 2022 season. In addition, the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe holds no secrets for Steven PALETTE who has already had a Sprint Cup victory by becoming Silver Cup Champion during the 2020 season.

The crew also includes 2 new drivers for the team including Frédéric MAKOWIECKI who knows the championship well and who recently enjoyed success by becoming GTE Pro champion at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2022 as well as official driver on the new Porsche 963 for 2023.

The line-up is completed by Stéphane DENOUAL, a regular in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup who will take the wheel in the Sprint Cup alongside Steven PALETTE for this new season.

Stéphane DENOUAL: "First time with CLRT and first time in GT3. 2023 will be a year of discovery and learning but also a year where I will have a lot of fun driving with Steven PALETTE as a teammate that I have known for a long time."

Clément MATEU: "CLRT offered me to participate in this new discipline for the team and I found the challenge more than pleasant.

It was not an easy decision because the Porsche Carrera Cup France and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are championships that I really like.

It's a new challenge which is about to begin but which is not easy.

I thank the team who gave me the opportunity to participate in this championship but also the opportunity to focus and take the time to properly prepare the wedding with my darling.

I'm going to get the most pleasure out of participating in an endurance championship again. It reminds me of a certain era which was strong for the Hexis racing team and which made Frédéric Makowiecki ride like Côme Ledogar."

Steven PALETTE: “I'm very happy to be part of the Fanatec GT World Challenge EuropeEndurance and Sprint Cup program for the Team's first year, it's going to be a great challenge.

I'm also super happy to ride on the sprint part with Stéphane who is someone I've known for a long time and whom I appreciate. The same goes for the endurance part that I share with Clément, whom I had the opportunity to coach last year and whom I will accompany this year on his transition to GT3."

Frédéric MAKOWIECKI: " It's a great human adventure. I'm taking part in this championship with Clément, who is part of the Hexis family, which allowed me to take off in my career and that's something very important for me. I was lucky that everything went well for the future, Côme was also part of the Hexis family and he was close to Philippe Dumas.

A little over 10 years later, I find the people I started with when I was a young driver and it's a great opportunity."

The 2023 season of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS will begin with the traditional test days at the Circuit Paul Ricard on March 7 and 8.
