Elias De La Torre IV Signs with JDX Racing to Drive in Carrera Cup North America Presented by Deluxe

JDX Racing is excited to announce the signing of Elias De La Torre IV. Elias will drive the No. 4 JDX Racing / HCB Yachts / Byers Porsche in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by Deluxe. The season starts next month with the opener at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida.

Elias, is part of the young guns of motorsports, starting in online "sim" racing that transitioned into his success on the track. The 17-year-old from Key Largo, Florida, began his young racing career just last season in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America piloting a Porsche GT4 Cayman. He made his presence known in his first professional race at Road America by claiming Pole Position followed by a Race Win. He continued to develop his racing skills during the 2022 Race Campaign which included several podiums, including a race win at Circuit of the Americas. That success had prepared him to campaign in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America by Deluxe. The Junior from Coral Shores High School in Key Largo, Florida, will make his Carrera Cup debut at his favorite track, Sebring International Raceway in 3 short weeks.

Elias De La Torrre IV (E4):
“To start, this is a tremendous opportunity for me to become part of the JDX Racing family. Following their Championship finish in the 2022 Season I was able to test with the team and I’m truly appreciative of their faith in me and my abilities. JDX Racing has a reputation for being an excellent organization for developing young drivers and helping them build a foundation to be truly great drivers. I’m looking forward to this step-up in pace and challenge of racing against other world-class drivers. Being able to develop within the Porsche Motorsports Pyramid in North America presents me with the potential for some amazing future opportunities. I’m looking forward to working with the Championship caliber team in JDX Racing to help me produce the best possible results and extract all the expertise so I can display my race craft and talent on a National Stage. A big thanks to my sponsors Byers Porsche and HCB Yachts for their support and belief in me.”

Jeremy Dale - Managing Partner / JDX Racing:
“I first met Elias in the summer of 2022 when he swept into the Porsche Sprint Challenge Series with his Cayman GT4 and was winning races right away. It was an impressive debut, to say the least. We followed up with a test at Sebring in a Porsche 992 Carrera Cup car and he impressed the entire team with his pace, feedback, focus, and his intellect. He's young, talented, and hungry. We quickly decided he would be a great fit for our 2023 Carrera Cup team. He has new tracks to learn and a new car
to understand, which is a very steep learning curve, but he'll be challenging every driver in the field. We're excited to get to Sebring and get started!”
