Elle Davis Makes Impressive Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Debut at Silverstone, Championing Women in Motorsport
Silverstone witnessed an unforgettable weekend of racing, as Elle Davis, leader of Akkar’s Global Automotive and Motorsport Immigration division, made her highly anticipated debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. Competing as the only female driver on the grid, Elle delivered a standout performance, underlining her commitment to advancing the role of women in motorsport.
Elle made an impressive debut, securing a podium finish. An incredible achievement in her first-ever race, and as the only female on the grid. Her focus and determination were evident throughout her first race and carried on through the other two races of the weekend. In her second race, Elle was on track to take another podium but unfortunately spun coming out of the last corner. Elle showcased her resilience in the last race with some impressive overtakes, managing to finish in P4.
Reflecting on her experience, Elle said: “Motorsport is taking generations of change to see the impact of women establishing leading roles, both on and off the track. Racing at Silverstone within an all-male grid is my way of showing that there is space for women in motorsport.”
