F2 star Dennis Hauger challenges the top tier of the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia!
Norwegian motorsport's great hope for the future is ready for a new entry as a guest driver in Scandinavia's leading racing championship. The Formula 2 star, who won on the streets of Monaco last weekend, drives a Porsche Sweden guest car in the Midnight Sun Race at Drivecenter Arena 17-18 June.
Dennis Hauger from Aurskog in Norway belongs to the world elite among young Formula One drivers on the way up to Formula 1. On June 17-18, he will come to Drivecenter Arena in Fällfors to drive the classic Midnight Sun Race where he challenges the top tier in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia in Porsche Sweden's guest car with start number 911.
“I am really looking forward to three exciting races under the midnight sun at Drivecenter Arena, says Dennis Hauger. After my previous appearances as a guest driver in the series, I know both the team and the starting field well. However, the championship has a completely new generation of the racing car 911 GT3 Cup this year, which of course will be an extra challenge for me”.
Dennis Hauger is a member of the Formula 1 team Red Bull's junior team and is one of the hottest drivers in the Formula 2 class where he competes for the top team PREMA Racing. Last weekend, he stood at the top of the podium in Monaco after a dazzling sprint race victory on the Principality's famous streets. Hauger is also the reigning champion of the international FIA Formula 3 championship.
“We have a short break in the Formula 2 championship after Baku before Silverstone in July, so the entry into the Carrera Cup will be a perfect intermediary for me. It will be great fun to compete in Sweden again”.
The next round of Formula 2 will take place during the Grand Prix weekend in Baku, Azerbaijan, in mid-June. Then Dennis Hauger flies directly to Sweden to test the new guest car before his two races under the northern midnight sun.
“We are honored to welcome Dennis Hauger back to the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, says Raine Wermelin, Director, Porsche Sweden. The Swedish audience gets a unique chance to experience a world-class racing talent up close during the Midnight Sun Race. I want to thank Red Bull and PREMA Racing and we of course send a big congratulations to Dennis for the great victory in Monaco”.
