First Porsche victory in the ADAC GT4 Germany
an Kasperlik (41 / Huglfing) and Nicolai Møller Madsen (27 / DNK, both Team Allied-Racing) win the Saturday race of the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Nürburgring in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. With this, the Allied team not only won its first win in the series, but also ensured its first Porsche triumph in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The BMW M4 GT4 of Michael Schrey (37 / Wallenhorst) and Gabriele Piana (33 / ITA, both Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport), which started from pole position, finished second, Fred Martin-Dye (31 / GBR) and Phil Dörr ( 19 / Butzbach, both Dörr Motorsport) complete the podium in third place in the McLaren 570S GT4. "We worked for a year and a half to finally win the ADAC GT4 Germany. So we are overjoyed now," said Kasperlik, who is not only a driver,
Immediately after the start, however, pole setter Michael Schrey initially dominated the front of the field. Kasperlik started from sixth, but moved up to fourth on the first lap. However, a spin in the midfield of Stephan Grotstollen's BMW (51 / Langenhagen, Team Lillestoff) led to a collision between Jan Krabec's KTM X-Bow GT4 (37 / CZE, RTR Projects) and Christoph Dupré's Mercedes-AMG GT4 ( 41 / Schiffweiler, Dupré Motorsport Engineering). As a result, the safety car was sent out on the track.
At the restart Schrey maintained the lead, while Kasperlik shortly after overtook Patricija Stalidzane (18 / Munich, Dörr Motorsport) in the McLaren and took third place behind Phil Dörr. The positions at the top remained unchanged until the pit stop window was opened. Even after the driver changes, Schrey's team-mate Gabriele Piana kept the lead. Behind Piana, Nicolai Møller Madsen pulled past Martin-Dye's McLaren into second place after the pit stop. "That was a key situation. We had the tactic of making an undercut against the McLaren with the late stop. That paid off," explained Kasperlik.
A safety car phase to rescue the Mercedes-AMG from Marcus Suabo (51 / Malsch, DLV Team Schütz Motorsport) after an electronics problem brought the field back together. A close duel between Piana and Møller Madsen developed in the final phase. Seven minutes before the end of the race, the Dane finally overtook the Italian on the approach to the Hatzenbachbogen and won. A collision between Hendrik Still's BMW (33 / Kempenich, Team AVIA Sorg Rennsport) and Florian Janits' KTM X-Bow GT4 Evo (22 / AUT, True Racing) brought the safety car back onto the track. The race ended up behind the safety car.
"Obviously it was very difficult to get past Piana because he is simply a very good driver. The result is great for our team. Everyone worked hard and really deserved this triumph," added Møller Madsen. "I have big goals for Sunday. I want pole position and a second win."
Phil Dörr also secured victory in the junior class with third place overall. The Porsche 718 of Joel Sturm (18 / Brühl) and Dennis Fetzer (19 / Buseck, both Team Allied-Racing) drove in fourth place. Julien Apothéloz (19 / CHE) and Luca Trefz (18 / Wüstenrot, both Mann-Filter HTP-Winward Motorsport) finished fifth in the Mercedes-AMG in front of Claudia Hürtgen (48 / Aschheim) and Sebastian von Gartzen (27 / Linden, both Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport) as well as Tom Kieffer (45 / LUX) and Christian Kosch (43 / LUX, both Team Allied-Racing) in another Porsche 718. The Porsche duo from Luxembourg also won the trophy classification. Eighth place went to the McLaren 570S GT4 driven by Aleksey Sizov (17 / RUS) and Patricija Stalidzane. The Porsche 718 from Alexander Tauscher (18 / Mitterfels) and Kim Berwanger (33 / bridges,
