Two New GT4 Access Programs Launched in Asia

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific has launched two all-new track initiatives to bring aspiring racing drivers onto the motorsport ladder with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport: the ‘GT4 Guided Driving’ programme and the ‘GT4 Clubsport Experience’. Established in 2017, Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific is committed to supporting Asia’s growing presence in global motorsport, and to develop local racing platforms. These two new programmes embody this commitment to support increasing access to the first step of the Porsche Pyramid, which covers every tier of Porsche’s motorsport activities.

The GT4 Guided Driving programme was launched at the Porsche Sports Cup China event on 11-12 July, with 30 new customers given a dynamic introduction to Porsche’s most accessible GT race car lapping the Zhuhai International Circuit under the guidance of a Porsche Instructor.

The GT4 Clubsport Experience, in conjunction with the Porsche Experience Centre Shanghai, is the perfect opportunity for new racers to develop their skills with one-to-one guidance from a Porsche Instructor. The half-day programme allows newcomers to understand the key concepts behind a dedicated race car, how to drive safely and utilise the car’s assist systems.

The 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport represents pure motorsport. The proven recipe of lightweight and well-balance performance, with a 425bhp 3.8-litre six-cylinder boxer engine charging you forward, makes it the ideal machine for this level.

Alexandre Gibot, Head of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific: “When we founded Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific, one of our areas of focus was to continue to make motorsport more accessible and introduce more potential drivers to the race track. With the launch of GT4 Guided Driving at the Porsche Sports Cup China and the GT4 Clubsport Experience at the Porsche Experience Centre Shanghai, we are very proud to expand the platforms that conveniently and safely support more drivers taking their first steps onto the Porsche Pyramid. There is no better way to do so than with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, it’s the perfect package for entry-level competitors.”
