John White completes four-car Porsche Sprint Challenge GB line up

Team Parker Racing is very happy to confirm that John White will be joining the team in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB for the 2022 season, after making a one-off debut appearance at the end of last season.

A successful businessman, owning Swansea-based Brentacre Insurance, John followed up his love of modified cars by taking part in track days, which swiftly let to the purchase of a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport and a first appearance in the Sprint Challenge GB at Donington Park. As well as partnering with Brentacre Insurance, he is also supported by Winns Solicitors.

Enjoying the experience, completing both races at the Leicestershire venue with In2Racing, John, introduced to Stuart Parker, took part in the series’ media day at Silverstone with the team and encouraged by his running, has decided to remain for the entire campaign, which included the recent Thruxton ‘test’ day.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge GB season begins this weekend (May 7/8) on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, racing alongside the British GT Championship, with three 20-minute contests over both days, all of which will be broadcast live online. “I started just doing track days, around eight months ago, I got talked into buying a race car, and I've ended up here. So straight in the deep end basically! I did my first race at Donington last year and I'm hoping to improve on my position. I didn't do very well, but it was my first experience really.

“The goal for this season is just to enjoy myself and get better. I'm not going to be at the head of the pack, there's no doubt about it, but if I can see small improvements every time I'm out I'll be happy.”
