Michael Fassbender finally making his debut at legendary race
Team Proton Competition has today revealed the driver line up for this years 24 Hours Le Mans race. Michael Fassbender will finally be making his debut at this legendary race. Michael will race with Proton Competition car number 93 together with Matt Campbell with the third driver to be announced in the coming weeks.
The team are currently in Sebring USA for two special weekends testing and racing in both FIA WEC 1000 Mile race which will be run Friday the 18th of March and the IMSA WeatherTech 12 Hours of Sebring which will go green on Saturday the 19th March
Team Proton Competition have entered a strong driver for both championships with two cars competing in the WEC. Christian Ried, harry Ticknell and Sebastian Priaulx will drive the number 77 car with Julian Andlauer, Fred Poordad and Patrick Lindsey in the number 88 car.
For the IMSA race the team will once again take the field with both Porsche and Mercedes cars, respectively number 79 and the number 97 with hero drivers Cooper MacNeil jumping behind the steering wheel of both cars during the 12 Hours of Sebring race. Julien and lauer and Alessio Picariello will share the number 79 car with MacNeil with Maro Engel and Jules Gounon sharing the number 97 car with MacNiel.
