Close to 100 drivers, split across 30 cars, are set to contest the inaugural Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on 6-7-8- September.

The 992 Endurance Cup, the first 12-hour endurance race dedicated to Porsche’s 992-generation 911 GT3 Cup car, will be hosted in a collaborative effort by Porsche Motorsport and Dutch promoter CREVENTIC. The event has already drawn interest from 95 drivers and 20 teams, representing almost two dozen different nations across four continents. Indeed, the provisional entry list already boasts several overall Nürburgring 24 Hours and 24H DUBAI winners as well as some of the finest talent across Porsche’s one-make Carrera Cups, Sprint Challenges, and Sports Cups in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

Local team Mühlner Motosport, based in Francorchamps, is the first of two outfits to have entered three Porsche 911 GT3 Cups (992) for the 992 Endurance Cup.

Canadian racer Parker Thompson, the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion, will pilot the Belgian team’s #18 entry alongside two-time Mazda MX-5 Cup champion Jared Thomas (currently the PRO/AM leader in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America). American compatriots Anthony McIntosh and Glenn McGee meanwhile, both former ‘AM’ champions in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, will split driving duties across Mühlner’s #18 and #21 Porsches, and will be joined in the #21 entry by Tyler Hoffman and Porsche Carrera Cup North America race winner Ryan Yardley.

Mühlner Motorsport has yet to confirm the line-up for its #4 entry.

Long-time Porsche customer MRS GT-Racing will also run three cars, all in the AM class. In a multi-national line-up, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Brazil rivals Georgios Frangulis, Rouman Ziemkiewicz and Eduardo Menossi (all three of whom competed together at the 24H BARCELONA in 2022) will race with compatriot Carlos Vidigal Renaux in the #88 Porsche. Countrymen, and fellow GT3 Cup Challenge Brazil competitors, Francisco Horta, Lucas Salles, Nelson Monteiro and Marcio Mauro will drive the #89 entry, while Porsche Sprint Challenge North America podium contenders Therese Lahlou (USA) and Madeline Stewart (NZL) will partner Porsche Carrera Cup North America frontrunner Alex Sedgwick and Pro Motocross racer Nicolas Romano in the #90.

Six further teams have also registered at least two Porsches for the 992 Endurance Cup.

Black Falcon, a two-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner and a record-setting five-time victor at the 24H DUBAI, has confirmed two Porsches for the event. Its first entry, entered as ‘BLACK FALCON Team 48 LOSCH’ (#48) will be driven by Tobias Müller, Noah Nagelsdiek, and Loek Hartog, the latter the standings leader in this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup North America. Mustafa Mehmet Kaya and Mike Stursberg will pilot the team’s second Porsche (#5) with Gabriele Piana, who helped Black Falcon secure its fifth 24H DUBAI win in 2020.

Christopher Mies, a two-time outright winner of both the Bathurst 12 Hours and Nürburgring 24 Hours, will float between both Black Falcon entries.

World Touring Car Championship legend Tom Coronel headlines the driver line-up for Max Kruse Racing (#8), the eponymous squad of German international footballer Max Kruse and TCR specialist Benjamin Leuchter. Reigning TCR Europe Touring Car champion Coronel will be joined by Paul Meijer, who finished 3rd in 992 at this year’s 24H DUBAI, and Jan Jaap van Roon aboard the #8 Porsche. Leuchter himself headlines the sister Max Kruse Racing 992 GT3 Cup (#10) alongside Fugel brothers Marcel and Dominik, both race winners in TCR Germany, and NLS class champion Nico Otto.

Fittingly, Adam Christodoulou and Eric Zang took 992 class victory at the 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS in 2023, and reunite for the 992 Endurance Cup with HRT Performance (#29) alongside Denis Zang. Similarly, Qatari teammates Abdulla Ali Al Khelaifi, Ghanim Al Ali and Ibrahim Al Abdulghani, who competed for 992-AM honours in the 2023-2024 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, will drive the German team’s AM-classified #31 entry.

Neuhofer Rennsport will be keen to run among the PRO class frontrunners, having confirmed Herberth Motorsport team principals – and 2017 24H SERIES Overall GT Drivers’ champions – Alfred and Robert Renauer alongside team manager Felix Neuhofer and the highly-experienced Martin Ragginger (#86). Hong Kong compatriots Dylan Yip, Bao Jinlong, and Eric and Henry Kwong (#85) will similarly be looking for a strong run in the AM class.

Belgium’s Speed Lover has registered Jean-Pierre and Jaxon Verhoeven, and Kurt Hensen (#78), and Benelux motorsport mainstay Wim Meulders, and Renmans father-and-son Rik and Gilles (#79) across its two-car line-up.

Reigning Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux champion Belgium Racing Team rounds out the multi-car entries, and has confirmed Michael Cool, Ghislain Cordeel and Kobe de Breucker (#98), and Dylan Derdaele, Jan Lauryssen and Sacha Norden (#99).

Seven-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner and Mobil 1 Supercup Teams’ champion Manthey Racing (#992) has entered a single entry in collaboration with the official Porsche Track Experience. The German team will run Jukka Honkavuori and Constantin Dressler alongside Rennsport Academy graduates – and Porsche Sports Cup Suisse contenders – Joel Monegro and Campbell Nunn.

Red Camel-Jordans.nl (#9) is set to run Breukers father-sons trio Ivo, Luc and Rik alongside 2019 24H SERIES Overall TCE Drivers’ ‘Continents’ champion Fabian Danz. Fellow 24H SERIES staple Bas Koeten Racing (#25) is one of the few teams to have confirmed a two-driver line-up – Marcel Van Berlo and Bart van Helden – for the 12 hours.

Dutch compatriot Team GP-Elite (#12) is expected to be among the frontrunners in the AM class, and will run an all-Dutch line-up at Spa comprising Wouter Boerekamps, and Munnichs brothers Peter and Koen.

Two-time 24H SERIES class champion Porsche Lorient Racing (#56) returns to action with CREVENTIC at Spa, and enters an all-French driver line-up of team staples Frédéric Ancel and Pascal Gibon, and FIA Endurance Trophy competitor Franck Dezoteux.

With a racing heritage dating back to the mid-1980s – both on-track and off it – Hans Weijs Motorsport will be among the most experienced teams on the grid at the 992 Endurance Cup. The Dutch team, which will run as ‘Tierre Outdoor Racing by HWM’ (#33) at Spa, has confirmed team owner Hans Weijs will race alongside Ralph Poppelaars and Jop Rappange.

SebLajoux Racing by DUWO Racing (#888), the latter a 2017 class champion in the 24H SERIES, has thus far confirmed team owner Sebastien Lajoux alongside two-time 24H DUBAI class winner Stéphane Perrin, Laurent Misbach, and Mathys Jaubert.

Following its first international endurance program with CREVENTIC, Nordschleife specialist KKrämer Racing (#36) returns to competition with the Dutch promoter at Spa-Francorchamps, and has so far entered team owner Karsten Krämer alongside Marlon Menden and Nürburgring 24 Hours class winners Michele Di Martino and Fidel Leib.

Porsche Sports Cup Germany frontrunner Team Laptime-Performance (#233) enters its first event with CREVENTIC, doing so with Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West teammates Charly Hayes and Reinhold Krahn, Adrian Comstock, and Daytona 24 Hours LMP3 class winner Thomas Merrill. Elfer Motorhome (#911), the racing arm of the Weiz-based Auto Köck dealership, similarly makes its competitive debut with CREVENTIC, and has entered a single entry for Austrian quartet Leo Pichler, Kevin Raith, Andreas Höfler and Peter Eibisberger.

JW Raceservice (#935) rounds out the confirmed driver line-ups received so far. The Dutch team, a championship contender in this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, will run a single car for Porsche Carrera Cup Asia teammates Kang Ling, Yao Liangbo, and Lu Zhiwei, and F4 United Arab Emirates graduate Liu Kaishun.

NGT Racing (#15) rounds out the provisional entry list. The Belgian team will compete with a single Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) in the PRO/AM class for the 24H SERIES’ reigning GT3 Drivers’ champion Mathieu Detry, Gilles Verleyen, Stanislav Minsky, and 2018 25 Hours VW Fun Cup winner Guillaume Mondron.

On-track action at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is scheduled to begin on the morning of Friday 6 September with two voluntary Track Days. Official Free Practice kicks off later that afternoon at 16.35 hrs local time, and will be followed by 55 minutes of qualifying – split across three, 15-minute sessions – from 19.05 hrs onwards. Night Practice closes out the Friday between 21.05 hrs and 21.50 hrs.

Race fans and ticket holders will be welcomed to the starting grid at 09.00 hrs the following morning – Saturday 7 September – ahead of the start of the 992 Endurance Cup itself. The green flag will fly at 09.45 hrs, with the race set to run uninterrupted for the following 12 hours.
