Porsche Cup: the media rise

Every year social networks and media are gaining a prominent role in the eyes of companies and personalities. The Porsche Cup (Carrera Cup Brazil) has always stayed tuned and looking for the right ways to continue growing and gaining with each passing day, more visibility in the different media where we participate. The recent success of Formula 1 has shown the world of sports the importance of the media in its growth. After Liberty Media bought the premier class, the numbers in the main category of national motorsport grew again and popularity reached levels that fans of speed had not seen for years.

The Porsche Cup has always known the importance of having a well-done media job. Since the category debuted in Brazil in the distant year of 2005, the organization has always worked to show the world of speed what we were and where we would like to arrive as a category.

In the early days, the races of the most produced racing cars on the planet broadcast only in VT on closed TV. Years passed and the Porsche Cup won the open TV, still in VT for Brazil. The first live came again on closed TV. Until closing the deal that put the category with its biggest media exposure in history. With the arrival of the Band in 2021, the Cup began to have its stages broadcast live to open TV, in the same house of the maximum category of motor sport. Together with sportv channels, they were responsible for disseminating the category on closed TV.

"Today we are with our biggest media exposure, Band and Sportv has broadcast the evidence and the success has been evident! We had great numbers in the second stage of the season at Velocitta and it shows us that we are on the right track with our media ideas" commented Regina Franzé, marketing director of the category.

The great numbers are seen in the broadcasts and social media of the category. The second leg of the 2022 season was seen by nearly 2 million people adding band broadcast and streaming services to the category. The social media numbers have also been increasing every day, adding up all the platforms where the Porsche Cup is present, there are already almost 350,000 fans following daily in the footsteps of the main GT category of the South American continent. In the last stage alone, the numbers exceeded 1.5 million interactions on social networks.

"It's very important to be attuned to social media trends. They have an immense power to reach new people and new audiences! For the category it is very important to be always expanding with the public. This generates new sponsorships and new interests," said Regina Franzé.

Each day it becomes clearer the importance of having a strong media, to expand the category and bring the audience even closer to the machines and pilots
