“We’ve had a busy summer already with so much e-sports and we’re delighted to be working on the new season. The Porsche Carrera Cup is something that is known throughout the world and we’re delighted to put our name towards the virtual edition on Racespot TV. You know it’s a popular series when there’s a grid of over 60 drivers, with a waiting list of double that figure. The first free practice sessions gave us a real taste for the action, which fans will be able to witness this coming Sunday. The top of the field looks very competitive and with a driver and team championship at stake, there’s guaranteed action throughout the season” Luke Holroyd, Marketing Director PorscheSport

Drivers will compete in both a driver championship and team championship. The series welcomes the well know teams: Fiercely Forward, PorscheSport, HM Engineering, Team Redline, Meraki Racing Maniti Racing and many more. The season presents some fan favourite circuits with Nürburgring up first, Road America, Imola, Interlagos, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Zandvoort and the season finale at Spa. The Porsche 911 Cup Car has treated many of us to some fantastic racing over the past few months, with the Porsche Virtual Mobil 1 Supercup and Porsche Club Great Britain Sim Racing Championship all showcasing the Cup Car on the iRacing platform.

The season opener takes place on Sunday 26th July and you can watch it live here.
