Adam Smalley to make Porsche Supercup debut at British GrandPrix
Porsche GB Junior Driver Adam Smalley is set to make his debut appearance in the Porsche Supercup in July, racing in front of a sold-out race day crowd of some 142,000 passionate fans.
The 21-year-old was all set for the weekend at Silverstone, spectating with friends and family and enjoying the action, but will now be competing himself after a late opportunity arose with French outfit CLRT, though will still have his car prepared by the same Redline Racing crew from his Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign in close collaboration with the guys at CLRT.
It will be a busy few weeks for the Lancastrian as he first heads to the Goodwood Festival of Speed where he will not only be aiming to make the top-ten shootout in a 992-type Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, but also driving a number of other classic and modern Porsche machinery.
Adam will be competing in the Porsche Supercup thanks to additional support from 11 Degrees clothing brand, CarFinance 247, Porsche Retail Group and GS Yuasa, and is grateful for their help in making this opportunity become a reality.

“I'm over the moon and can't wait to get my first Supercup weekend underway. It's been a very, very last-minute thing as it was only a couple of days ago that we found out there was a space available. For me, the ultimate goal is to race in the Porsche Supercup and competing on a Formula 1 weekend is a dream come true.
“I'm new to Porsche racing, so we are very much jumping in the deep end, but it is the same car I race in Porsche Carrera Cup GB, and I've been to Silverstone before, so I think we can push for a solid result, especially with all the mechanics and engineers from Redline Racing who work on my car. I think we can put together a good package. It will certainly be a good experience for next year when we expect to do a lot more Supercup events - calendar permitting.

“I am getting used to these late calls and having to pull it all together in super quick time! We had 48 hours to get everything signed off to get on the grid. Fortunately, I was out at a photo shoot with Autocar and the Duckhams Yuasa Racing with Redline Cup car at the time, so I was on the phone for most of the day getting everyone briefed and hunting for the budget to take up the offer. I am really glad we got everything over the line so Adam could take up the offer. It will be great to see him testing himself against some of the best drivers in the world. It wouldn't have been possible without a great group of loyal partners.
